Laxus nuke is more impressive tbh. Erzas speed, Mira's hax, Juvias hax.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Ok, now I'm heated, how in the hell does Natsu rank above Laxus?

His casual lightning nuke went multiple KM abov the clouds. That's the key word, ABOVE THE CLOUDS.

Natsu' strongest attack being his Kings roar can't even scale to Laxus' CASUAL nuke.

http://www.mangapanda.com/fairy-tail/447/15
Natsu gets wrecked and Gildarts scales above both.

There's a reason why Jellal and him are equal. His meteor reached speeds enough to catch fire and was multiple KM wides.
Natsu has DF and FDKM which puts him above Laxus. His aura itself inflicts an energy level of more than 200 Megatonnes which puts him above Laxus. And in his DF he defeated Jellal. And more important his best attack is secret Slayer attacks not his roars.Natsu's attacks is not like that where he creates nukes but he has more DC and AOE where he inflict damage on a Spriggan through body aura alone. He casually one shotted a Spriggan and two shotted an enhanced Spriggan.

Yes, Natsu defeated a Spriggan with a very low durability WITH a spell. Gajeel defeated a Spriggan with better durability than both Neinhart and Jacob WITHOUT a spell. This isn't that hard to understand right? Gajeel has shown far better attack power in his Spriggan fight, it's not even debatable.

Yes I can.

Flame Dragon King's Demoltion Fist its AoE was Ikasutsunagi size. Now try to convince me that Iron Shadow Dragon Roar can't cover Ikasutsunagi lol.

Yeah right and exactly how can Natsu undo Gajeel's intangibility?

Nice try :cookiestare
People look at Natsus battles against a spriggan as a real accomplishment.

Don't think you're smart tho, watch the anime that Shadow roar is thin as hell.

Why are you using manga scans? Anime does it way better

Natsu defeated Neinhart with two punches in base, and he defeated Jacob (whose durability hasn't been proven to be that low) with a FDK technique in in FDKM. Meanwhile, Gajeel hit Bradman with several punches in Dragon Force. From this, I'd say that Natsu does indeed have the better showing with his attack power. Bradman's durability wasn't proven either now that I mention it, so you can't claim his any better than Jacob's, and when you think about, getting taken out by a flurry of punches is actually a worser way to go than getting taken out by one technique.

Yes I can.

**Incorrect buzzer sound** Nope, try again. What you've shown there is definitely not bigger than Ikatsunagi. Take a look for yourself.
Now, I'm sure you notice that thing in the bottom right corner in the background. Yes, that is a town. What you showed us was Gajeel's Iron Shadow Dragon's Roar going a bit above a town. Now look at the town in the background and compare it to Ikatsunagi's size. Ikatsunagi is way bigger. That therefore means that the size of Natsu's Flame Dragon King's Demolition Fist that obliterated Ikatsunagi was much, much bigger than Gajeel's Iron Shadow Dragon Roar, which would pale in comparison to the war god. Now, unless you've actually got a panel of the Iron Shadow Dragon's roar exceeding Ikatsunagi's size, then you need to go back to the drawing board.

Yeah right and exactly how can Natsu undo Gajeel's intangibility?

Let me take you back to the GMG. Do you remember what happened as the fight progressed between Natsu + Gajeel vs Sting + Rogue. Gajeel? Gajeel 'got the hang' of how the shadows work, and we even saw Natsu hitting Rogue around later on so with Natsu's combat expertise, I do not think its highly likely Natsu would be able to work out how to hit Gajeel soon enough if he wasn't able to already.

If you've actually got panels that prove I'm wrong, please, go ahead and share them. Otherwise I think you should go back to the drawing board with your arguments altogether, because Natsu is clearly portrayed as being stronger than Gajeel (and its very apparent in this current arc as much as some may like to deny it) and I'm happy to keep debating this point.

Laxus casual nuke was going to kill Ajeel. Natsu' going all out took out Jacob who was restricted.

Who has the better feat? Laxus
Casual attack>All out attack

"Natsu' aura evaporated the lake"
It did but not the entire lake. Natsu with Igneels power up had a much smaller raidus than the lake.

"Natsu one shot Neinhart and Jacob"

Wow! Such a HUGE accomplishment for Natsu.
Laxus stopped a tsunami of sand that dwarfed Titan Makarov and landscape instantaneously. Then stopped Ajeels attack again by dropping an atom bomb that was going to wipe him out of existence. All done without a sweat.

What did Neinhart do? Spawn a hurricane, stop Brandish magic from working. Lol ok, his durability is shit, he was shitting more bricks just thinking about fighting Erza. Yeah, he would've got mopped anyway. AKA ONE SHOT.

"Natsu has DF"
Ok, try hitting someone who will be dropping multiple nukes at once. Yeah bud, Natsu gets utterly destroyed by Laxus and Gildarts scales far above him.

I will come to your points one by one.
i)Even though Laxus used that attack casually no other attacks reached that level. And Natsu one shotted Jacob casually. Please see the fight.
ii)In DF he defeated an opponent who is generally considered in the tier of Laxus. And in FDKM he is more or less equal to Laxus.
iii)And the lake was vanished because when he landed the attack on Jacob there was no drop of water left in the lake.

I can't believe you call me dumb. At least I'm not the one claiming that Gildarts is the second strongest character in the series ROFL.

Also you know that the manga will always be the first source, right? :cookiestare

Natsu defeated Neinhart with a punch boosted by a huge AoE blast. I can't believe you basically said Gajeel taking out Bloodman with a view punches is an unimpressive feat. You and your bias towards Natsu can say whatever you want, but it's a fact that Gajeel showed a far better attack power in his Spriggan fight than Natsu. Defeating a Spriggan with a view punches >>> defeating a Spriggan with your best spell.

I don't even feel like explaining why Bloodman's durability is above that from Jacob.

Okay and here you just ruined your whole argument.

Just so you know, Rogue NEVER used his intangibility feat in his fight against Natsu and Gajeel. Fact is, he never showed he is able to turn into a shadow himself up to the Alvarez Arc. Turning into a shadow is Shadow Rogue's feat, and Natsu never fought Shadow Rogue. So no, Natsu hasn't ever shown he can counter the intangibility of Shadow Rogue which is Gajeel's feat as well.

1. Plot, Hiro isn't going to one shot every character.
2. Entering a mode and having the intent to kill him doesn't make it casual
3. No, the lake is still there.

This bitch is like 10+km tall. Multiple kilometers wide.

Natsu isn't reacting or dodging this attack. He would get ripped a new one if fought Laxus.

Gildarts' casual attacks make massive dents in bodies of water with enough force to hold it open for a few minutes.

It's a fact? If you want facts, Natsu took Neinhart out with two punches in base that weren't even named, thats how negligible in Natsu's arsenal they were, and yet you think that they're a big deal like they're one of his better techniques? No, they were basic punches and only one was covered in some flame. At best, that would've been a toned down Flame Dragon's Iron Fist, as we've seen that has around the same AoE in this arc, and if you don't believe that then I've got the panels to show you the AoE for the Iron Fist.

Clearly the AoE here is larger than what Natsu hit Neinhart with, meaning that what Natsu attacked Neinhart with was indeed negligible in Natsu's arsenal for it to not be named. The fact is Natsu ended the Neinhart fight with two punches, and thats it. Meanwhile if we look at Gajeel in Dragon Force vs Bloodman, then I've counted from the panels that he hit him at least nine times from the impact artistry in chapter 487. Two punches in base to defeat a Spriggan is more impressive than 9+ blows in what is Gajeel's strongest mode to defeat a Spriggan who was hard to hit due to the nature of his particles. I'll take it you can't prove Bloodman's durability is greater than Jacob's if you can't explain how.

You do know that the AoE of Iron Shadow Dragon's Roar increases exponentially by distance, right? :cookiestare
You do realise that its still nowhere near Ikusatsunagi's size right? Here is the size comparison again.

If you're still going to deny that Ikusatsunagi's size is far greater than the Iron Shadow Dragon's roar, then I'm sorry but I have to question if you're pulling my leg with this or serious. That measly roar you were talking about wouldn't even get up to Ikusatsunagi's knees, that is how small it is. Back to the drawing board you go.

Okay and here you just ruined your whole argument.

Rogue never used his intangibility in that fight? **Incorrect Buzzer Noise** Wrong again. If he didn't use his intangibility, then what is this?

That is clearly his intangibility being used right there. And if you want to be really picky about it and still claim that Natsu can't hit Rogue's shadow for whatever reason you think up, Natsu can still just eat Gajeel's shadow element when he uses it to bypass any issues I don't he would even have. Back to the drawing board you go.

I keep proving you wrong this whole time :cookiehand
How exactly are you proving me wrong? You're throwing statements around but never supplying panels etc. to actually add weight to your arguments, and I'm showing you stuff that debunks what you've said. That is not proving me wrong whatsoever.

1)Natsu never kills his opponent.Zeref said that Fairytail never kills their enemies.Natsu entered FDKM and you can see he was casual.
2)I never said Base Natsu can defeat Laxus but FDKM and DF Natsu are above him.
3)You don't need actual fire to evaporate water. It's aura evaporated water. When there is forest fire even if you are not near the fire you may feel heat and smoke from miles away. When Natsu landed the actual attack on Jacob all water had vanished. And if Laxus uses a nuke on Natsu Natsu will use his attack to counter it.

What are people here debating? Erza > Natsu? Gray > Natsu? Glidartz is still faster than light and can oneshot a continent right? Laxus' nuke can kill both Irene and August (I made this one up but I wouldn't be surprised if someone in this forum we know very well would advocate for it)?...

Erza is strong, I won't deny that, but her portrayal of being stronger than Natsu and Gray is long past, in this arc she is inferior to Natsu and possibly to Gray too. Also, she's not necessarily faster than the duo.

Gray only leveled up to Natsu when he was bloodlusted, Natsu hasn't been bloodlusted like that in this arc yet. Neither has Erza. IMO if they two were as bloodlusted as Gray was, the rank would be like this: Base Natsu > Gray >= Erza.

Also current feats put Natsu (who oneshot/twhoshot (arguable) enhanced Neinheart in base) above Gray (who had to go all bloodlusted to wreck Invel, but he didn't oneshot/twoshot despite). Of course, assuming ENHANCED Neinheart's durability is comparable to Invel's, which I believe. Note the "ENHANCED" word there.

Also I'm not so sure that the amount of blows one character needs to defeat another equates to their real true power. IMO Mashima may've wanted to make Natsu and Gray equals and he didn't pay a lot of attention to whether Natsu landed 2 blows on Neinheart and Gray did 8.

I don't know why, but I tend to be rather rational/logical, and usually my assumptions end up being correct. My assumption is that August/Irene will initially be above any Ishgar character (yes, above Glidartz too, @Woodenstool), and that Natsu is about to surpass Glidartz (if he hasn't already). We'll see soon.

Anyway...

I think with Neinhart... he's probably got the worst physicals of the 12. Natsu 2-shotting him with whatever he used (probably just base FD Iron Fist) makes that comparable to a full-powered Grand Chariot.

Tbh I use Jacob's fight as the benchmark for Natsu. He's probably similar to Ajeel in physicals, maybe not quite the same, but not far off either. Natsu went into FDKM, and probably used a stronger Demolishing Strike than he did on Ikusa-tsunagi. At worst they are equivalent.

Rankings of physicals for the 12 (my guesses)
1 - God Serena, Wall, Chronos
2 - Ajeel
3 - Jacob, Bloodman*
4 - Invel, Brandish, DiMaria
5 - Neinhart

Bloodman's durability is a bit of a hard one. First off you can't tell what damage he's taken, he's made of particles. When DF Gajeel hit Bloodman, he hit particles, not flesh/metal like the others. So the damage is different. Not only that, Bloodman's body is fluid, so the shock absorbing is different. I think if DF Gajeel was hitting someone like Jacob, he would have killed him a little quicker.

It also should be noted that Bloodman was going to die from DF Gajeel. Tbh he doesn't get enough credit. In Dragon Force, Gajeel has a good chance of beating the protagonists on current feats. Not only that, the dragon scales do provide extra durability. and he'd be faster than everyone.

The only thing that's holding me back from saying DF Gajeel > FDKM Natsu is Natsu has shown to use this mode on his own, and has used several FDK spells rather easily. If Gajeel was as proficient with DF as Wendy, then I'd rank him above Natsu... but we know Natsu's going to have Dragon Force as well, and that will be above all.

I think with Neinhart... he's probably got the worst physicals of the 12.
Comes down to various variables though:
- Whether you believe the S12 to be equal (except the 2 top-tiers) in terms of MP ONLY, or also overall stats.
- Whether you believe that MP boost Irene gave Neinheart also enhanced his stats.

IMO, MP increase leads to a collateral stats increase, not by the same amount, but it does.

IMO Neinheart is less durable than Invel, but upon being enhanced, they should be around there.

There will be people who claim that Neinheart's durability is pure sh*t (and cannot be compared to the rest of the twelve) and those who claim his durability should be similar to Invel's without even being enhanced... I think everyone's got reasons to have a position here, and there's no more correct position than another in this regard.

Natsu 2-shotting him with whatever he used (probably just base FD Iron Fist) makes that comparable to a full-powered Grand Chariot.

Yeah, Natsu's base FD Iron FIst = GC may work, in the event you believe that Neinheart had the same durability as without enhancement. I believe otherwise.

Also, if Mashima told us that Neinheart's durability is indeed below Jacob's, I guess it would all make more sense, since I can see Natsu defeating a spriggan (pushing it) but one/twoshotting is a little bit farfetched...

Rankings of physicals for the 12 (my guesses)

5 - Neinhart
If I didn't want to abide by the belief that all spriggans should have similar stats, I'd like to agree with your ranking. I think it is accurate. However Wahl didn't strike me as very durable though. He was defeated by one attack only (not taking into account lightning attacks or bare physical cqc, no magic-imbued).

Red Lightning was super effective against Wall which is why he was killed. he did tanked all of Laxus attacks with little to no damage. he may be immune to lightning but he isn't immune to physical attacks and Laxus blows are Top Tier. Wall couldn't analyze Red Lightning which is why he couldn't absorb it. without that immunity his super vulnerability against lightning remains. Laxus still powered up Red Lightning even further to break him, which means that even with vulnerability he managed to resist Red lightning until Laxus powered it up even more. keep in mind that his Historia is taking blows from Minerva who is far from being weak.

if I had to place Spriggan's in durability then it would be like this
1. Goddess Dimaria
2. God Serena, Ajeel, Wall
3. Bloodman
4. Jacob, Brandish
5. Invel
6. Neinhart

I think they're about the same in MP. And I agree MP increases someones overall stats, including durability. But someone like Neinhart might have a weaker physical make up then Ajeel for example. I think MP levels are a good rule of thumb for overall stats, but they're not always going to be exact. There's probably enough feats now to separate some of them out.

Neinhart could still have relatively decent durability. It might be more than most of the protagonists. His endurance is questionable for sure. But Natsu and Jellal are strong characters so getting beat by them isn't that bad.

There could be a bit of a difference in the 2 Neinharts' physicals. I don't think it would be by much though.

I think Jacob's durability is better than Neinhart's, for now at least.

Wall took a fair few hits without a scratch. His feats are comparable to God Serena's (took a punch from Wolfheim without a scratch).

I do think Wall's durability might be different from everyone's... and it could be lower. Taking punches did nothing, but Red Lightning killed him. That leaves 2 options really...

1) Wall's durability is solid until you reach a certain level of power - and then he breaks and can die.
2) Red Lightning is super-effective against Wall given it bypasses the immunity and wrecks his body that is weak to electricity.

If 1 is more sensible then Wall's durability would rank lower... probably Jacob level.
If 2 is more sensible, then Wall's durability would remain the same unless Red Lightning is used.

It also depends how strong you think Red Lightning is. Laxus made a nuke rather easily, and it was enough to threaten Ajeel. Red Lightning seemed a lot stronger, a new technique... and he probably added a bit of PoF. Granted he wasn't in prime condition, but he seemed to put a lot of power into it. So it's probably quite a strong technique.

I don't really see the Spriggans as being very similar in power. Yes some of them have similar levels of ability but the range of level these guys are at is pretty wide

I don't really see the Spriggans as being very similar in power. Yes some of them have similar levels of ability but the range of level these guys are at is pretty wide
The only thing similar about them is that they share same amount of magic power. For example, Gray and Natsu.

You have no proof for FDK being stronger, none. The panel was right after he destroyed him, it takes time for water to flow back.

Using a mode is not casual, that is Natsu going all out.

Hiro Mashima is the author not Zeref. No one dies in FT.

I'll repeat myself one more time, NATSU USED MAGIC TO DEFEAT A SPRIGGAN AND GAJEEL DIDN'T. Just why the hell can't you just seem to understand that defeating a Spriggan with basic punches is a far superiot feat than defeating a zero durability level Spriggan with a magical punch. It doesn't matter a single thing how many times Gajeel "touched" Bloodman out there, the fact still stands that he managed to defeat an untouched high tier Spriggan with just HIS FISTS.

Oh and just so you know, the blast Natsu used to defeat Neinhart isn't even fully shown in that panel.

Bloodman's durability is superior to that of Jacob because he didn't receive any single damage when Gajeel or Levy attacked him. Jacob was pushed back by two basic spells of Natsu and Lucy.

Really your bias is taking you over here.

My god did you read what I said? Do I need to spell it out for you once more?

The AoE of Gajeel's Iron Shadow Dragon's Roar increases exponentially by distance.

What you posted was a panel that showed the AoE that affected the ground. THAT'S NOT THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THE SPELL.

You keep on making me facepalm. What you showed was nothing more than his magic giving him a speed boost.

This is the shadow form that Gajeel uses in his ISDM and it's far different than the way Base Rogue uses it:

Gajeel can literally become untouchable once he turns ISDM and Natsu doesn't have a single fucking way to counter it.

*Incorrect Buzzer Noise*

Stop twisting my words :cookiestare

How exactly are you proving me wrong? You're throwing statements around but never supplying panels etc. to actually add weight to your arguments, and I'm showing you stuff that debunks what you've said. That is not proving me wrong whatsoever.
ROFL.

Do you not understand the concept of durability? Bloodman wasn't affected by Gajeel's attacks in the beginning because he was INTANGIBLE. Intangibility has no relevance to a character's durability. This is pretty fucking basic logic.

Once Gajeel ate the MBP Bloodman clearly stated that it changed the properties of his magic and that allowed Gajeel to hit him. So not only is your point on Bloodman's durability completely moot, but your point on Gajeel killing Bloodman without magic is just flat out fucking false.

I may reply to the rest of your baseless post later. I'll see if I have time.

That's what we've been telling him :l. We don't know Bradman's durability in comparison to Jacob because the only he was rarely hit by Gajeel and Levy before Gajeel obtained JBIM due to his intangibility.

@SirSamuel016 Also please stop mocking Blue Pegasus with words like 'going back to the drawing board' or 'incorrect buzzer noise' :/

Not to mention, whatever attacks Gajeel used made contact with Bradman (before gaining ISDM) were all unnamed or countered by Bradman and so we cannot compare base Gajeel and Natsu's attacks. Though FDKM mode Natsu definitely is way above base Gajeel.
