The most notable ones were Torso`s and Shiono`s transformations, quite illustrative. :XD

Another thing I noticed was that Rize seems to be drawn way hotter than at the beggining of the series.

It's published on Weekly Young Jump, which should release on Thursdays as far as I know.

This month was also published the redrawn first chapter of the original, but with another magazine named Men's Non-no. If you're interested, that would be a pretty unique thing to have.

Was the cover like the one you see at this link? It's the official site of the magazine; I can't see it on the cover (nor read Japanese), but I guess that "9.15" is the release date.

Aogiri has been a major disappointment in RE I expected so much more from them in part 2. To think this is what would happen to the the main villains of part 1 going out with a whimper.

They were never villians to begin with even though their action was ruthless and cruel, the true villians are the washus and V.

In part 1 thy were the main antagonists for Kaneki just wish I knew what Ishida had in store for Eto and Aogiri in RE. I don't think I've been disappointed in character and group as much as them I expected more from Eto and Aogiri.

Is Eto a letdown after all the build up she got in part 1? In my opinion Eto is without a doubt major letdown. I was expecting Kaneki to struggle to deal with Eto and Aogiri but nope he regains his memories and wrecked her like fodder. Not long after she gets wreck once again like fodder but this time it's even worse since it's off screen. Eto went from a major threat and legendary natural born hybrid SSS One-Eyed Owl who was also known as Calamity and CCG greatest ever threat. To being used as a plot device that gives the MC a major power up and exposition on V and being used as a tool to hype up another major villain. All the things I mentioned happened in less than 30 chapters as well. I originally wanted to make a thread on this subject but I couldn't be arsed making another one.

Well, yes, but admittedly she has only been defeated by Kaneki and Furuta, and apparently their kagune is a cheat. Plus, she fights with brute strength alone while they're smart and take advantage of their resources, against Kaneki she probably wanted to make him stronger instead of killing him while against Furuta she was weakened and taken by surprise, and so on.

Is it cheap that she's been used not once but twice as a device to show another character's power? Ehhh... Yeah, I think it wasn't the best way to do it and it does leave a sense of dissatisfaction with how she's pretty much only collected defeats, but the manga is not over yet, and I seriously doubt she just bled to death on the floor. So there's still time for her comeback, after all. And as I wrote in another thread, she has fully accomplished her goals so far, which means she has ultimately won where it really counts.

I think Ishida really wanted to make us notice how he's wiping the stage clean of the old guard to make way for the new, and that's the main reason for his handling of Eto. Off with Arima, off with Shachi, off with Noro, Tatara, Yoshitoki Washuu, and off with Eto as well. Who doesn't even have to be dead, since it's enough that she's been shown to have been overpowered by the two main players on the field.

The second reason I believe was to underline her willingness to sacrifice everything for her cause and ultimately for Kaneki. Which should be telling of her character and motivations, like the desire to be loved, the incapability of loving in return, her issues with her parents and similar other themes of the series.

Vandred your post always gives me a new perspective so thanks. I do agree with you on Ishida wiping out the old guard it's a shame only Arima and arguably Noro didn't get shit on.

Oh, thank you, I'm really happy to hear that :amuse

Yeah, the wiping out has been really harsh. Shachi and Yoshitoki in particular were treated like common fodder.
