I'd be fine with that. Once the rank wars are done, there can be a few arcs in the Neighborhood and then the final battle, should be easy to wrap up fairly nicely. Assuming the rank wars ever actually end, of course.

Also, all the talk about the GFC and Genjui Toteku made me remember I wanted to translate that like a year ago and forgot, so that's done now if anyone cares. Haven't looked at any of this year's GFC entries yet, anything worth caring about in there?

Toteko was absolutely awful imo. Shock that it won.
Luckily it's not at all rare for one or two other GFC entrants to get serialized as well, so I'm not worried about Galaxy gangs.

I thought Galaxy Gangs was generic too

Just had a look over it, it's definitely better than Galaxy Gangs. But I don't know if the concept can work for a serialization with an over-arching plot.

It will work the same way Mahoutsukai no Yome works now
each arc introduces myths from different cultures then explore it then something bad happen and the mc fix it

If Love rush is cancelled and Jump want another romcom then Hanzaike Masayuki & Iwasaki Yuuji are probably my pick to get a chance.
Published a one-shot in 2016-8.
Also published a one-shot Jump Next 2015 Vol.5

E-robot ended with 11 chapters, Love rush will at least be longer than it.

Yeah, but..... That's SoL isn't it? And we know there's no way SoL could ever work in Jump.... Honestly, if it weren't for the excessive alcholism in Grand Blue, I think it has a better shot at surviving in Jump.

I haven't even watched the Fornever's video and I'm already annoyed, he has probably never even read World Trigger and still talks crap about it? If he doesn't understand the rankings then he should stay off the topic period. Even if you don't read all the series in the magazine,it doesn't automatically mean that there's some bull about the rankings just because one of the ones you don't read ranks high.

It's not really an adventure story in the first place. The protagonist goes somewhere to solve conflicts, then come back to her house. I think the strong points of this manga are characters interaction and scenery. The action/fighting scenes are hardly there.

I'm on volume 4 (20 chapters) so I maybe wrong about the other 13 chapters ahead of me.

I'm not talking about the lack of action, that doesn't bother me, I'm talking about things that add nothing to the story like when when Silky's past was revealed or when Chise went shopping or when she went to drink tea with Angelica's husband

so many wasted panels, so little substance

If anything, I find GB to be more enjoyable because for once, finally there's a manga where the MC is on the end of the whooping stick in the fanservice gags, and not the ladies. There's like a 70:30 ratio of the gags where the MC basically becomes the punching bag for the jokes. He's like a modern-day Keitarou Urashima.

Gintama is a success sure, but it's definitely not for everyone since the jokes can fall flat due to cultural barriers. One gag can be funny to Jump's main audience, but not so for everyone else. Trust me, I've tried getting into it before, and a lot of the jokes just falls flat to me. It's closer to being a hit or miss imo.
