I've been thinking. What if Chastiefol isn't King's Spirit Spear? We know that Spirit Spears are given to the Fairy King by the Tree, but why is it that King had to receive Chastiefol from Bartras? What if Chastiefol was Dhalia's Spirit Spear and King has yet to receive his own for some reason? It's a potential power up for him after he gets his wings.

That is, unless Nakaba hasn't decided to retroactively change the origins of the Sacred Treasures.
That's a good idea but then how did Baltra get a Demon sword for Meliodas, Divine Axe Rhitta for Escanor, Merlin Aldan or worse of all Gowther ST.

It's more likely Merlin went & got everybody STs.

I am not sure spirit spears are specifically made by the fairy tree. Has that been said? All we know is that gloxinia was given vasquez but that is it.... Overall, his own spirit spear seems to function the same as vasquez and even has comparable power. I mean, king has used it to great effect so far, he merely does not seem to have the sheer magical power to use it fully.

As for the other weapons, I just assumed they were the result of the equivalent to magical technological advancement. Maybe there is greater history behind them but at this point I doubt that would specifically add to the story.

It's most likely related to the fact that he doesn't have wings. In flashbacks and his Gaiden, he had not Chastiefol, and it seems the Fairy King always fights with a spear from the Sacred Tree + Disaster. My guess is that King never managed to use his Spirit Spear initially because of his lack of wings even though he had the raw material on him(maybe a seed like what Elaine gave to Ban when the forest was destroyed) and I suppose he needed to use Disaster to a certain level in order to manifest it. He was fighting with only Disaster when he repelled Humans and Bartra's blacksmith managed to create a weaker version usable for him even without wings. That's why he asked for his Release to work "this once", when he was fighting Albion and why Gloxinia said his Chastiefol was an imitation until King used his Release(Chapter 166). Spirit Spears normally don't have a weak form like Chastiefol but they have a "sleep mode"(tentacles for Basquias, pillow for King).

That's a good idea but then how did Baltra get a Demon sword for Meliodas, Divine Axe Rhitta for Escanor, Merlin Aldan or worse of all Gowther ST.

No, Bartra is the one who gave them to the Sins as gifts. Vision must have helped a lot, but the mystery is the blacksmith. I am thinking that it might be Raizer(Howzer's dad) and he can do certain things with his innate Magic.

Tarbas, the master blacksmith which ban mentioned to senette when he freed her from baste dungeon after using her dagger. the way he described the carves and the pattern of the blade sounds like tarbas must have been a well known blacksmith and its most likely he forged those weapons. It seems to me that he is comparable to hephaestus, a greek god blacksmith who is known for creating zeus thunderbolt and poseidon's trident.

I had forgotten that name, it's most likely him.

If each Spirit Spear is unique then so should its variations be. I doubt Nakaba is going to throw all of King's trademark transformations out of the window at this point.

It hasn't been said, no, but we've no idea who gave Gloxinia Vasquex or if it was granted to him by the tree. Not sure about comparable power just yet.

Never said he couldn't use two Spirit Spears:3c. Remember, King's original Sacred Treasures were two daggers. That could still be in play in some form.

And the fairy tree if, as I think, is a being comparable to the supreme goddess or demon king as it essentially functions as the god of fairies along with providing king and gloxinia with vast power.
That actually makes a lot of sense. The series does heavily imply a sort of sentience with it and judging by King and Gloxinia's abilities with the spear, it has a lot of power, including incredible healing which is supposed to be the Goddess Clan domain.

So can we talk about how King seems to be the only Sin with the most fleshed out relationships on panel with the other Sins, sans Merlin and a bit of Escanor?

We saw how his and Diane's relationship was rebuilt.

We saw growth in his complex relationship with Ban, making them seem like more genuine friends than Mel and Ban.

We saw how he grew to distrust Mel and how he eventually realized that Mel wasn't against the group. Plus the series hinted at something else during their first meeting.

We see how he's grown with Gowther, from being on somewhat fine terms, to hating him, to coming back around to caring about him, most likely, more than before.

Well, King has been a constant source of drama. He often draws conclusions too hastily and loses his calm. That's why what he did in the training arc was so significant. Even for his introduction, he wanted to kill Ban without knowing much about the story.

That's definitely the impetus for the majority of this interactions, but it works because it allows for him to not only get some interactions with the other characters, but it also gave his character an arc that's been ongoing since his characters introduction.

Aside from him, Elizabeth has been the only other character with such a notable character arc, at least, in my opinion.

All King needs now is a tough and emotional battle that will cause his wings to grow to full size. Kind of like Elaine, but more flashy and dramatic. I wonder if this can happen now with the demon santa clause and what his power level will be. I also wonder if it'll change a part of his outer appearance as well like it did with Elaine looking older.

King really should have listened to Ban's version of what happened, yes. You don't go and kill (petrify, whatever) one of your closest comrades because of what people claims he's done. But Ban never really denied killing Elaine, and he did do time for it so it would make sense for King to believe that he killed Elaine. Still, once again, he jumped the gun.
All King did was hit Gowther, which he honestly kinda deserved. He doesn't hate Gowther anymore and regrets how he acted towards him, they're actually friends for the first time ever.
What King did to Meliodas was reasonable, and justified. Meliodas has lied almost everything, how any of the Sins sans Merlin still believe in him is beyond me. Meliodas can't even tell the truth when his caught barehanded, like during the Kingdom Revolt Ban straight up asked him if he was a demon, which he saw and Meliodas still felt the need to change the subject to avoid telling the truth. Meliodas could also have told them about Galan's decree, he didn't and Merlin was trapped in the plot hole for God knows how long. He lies about things he doesn't even need to lie about, like if he knew Gowther was a doll. Don't go screaming "ELIZABETH'S MEMORIES!!" he could have just freaking said he knew the maker and that he was his friend, and that would be that.
If one of the most evil forces in history attacked you, your family and your friends, and you found out that your friend, captain and superior was a part of this force in the past, wouldn't you be the slightest bit worried? Especially if that person is lying, shady and untrustworthy? I like Meliodas a lot but not some of the decisions he's made.
I'm not saying that the Sins should sit around the campfire and tell their life stories, I get why Meliodas wouldn't want to speak about anything he's been through, but his constant lying and secrets really makes me wonder how anyone can trust him. Especially when everyone knows that Elizabeth is his top priority, not the Sins.
And c'mon , King could never really harm Meliodas. He gave him a flesh wound, big deal. Zeldris cut off his arm and he regenerated that in like two seconds.

I am sorry but King wasn't far from being reasonable because he attacked Meliodas based on the fact that he was a demon and that is all. He realized and admitted that himself in the flashback arc, he just exposed his true intention behind that attack and he felt really bad about it.
If Meliodas said that he was a Demon to Ban or King from the very beginning, then their friendship wouldn't even have existed in the first place, Ban and King would see Meliodas as the same monster that killed Elaine and the Fairy King forest. Demons are still entities which are see as evils and disgusting by any races throughout the history of NNT after the Holy War, and that disgust was taught generations after generations. Meliodas know that horrible fact, that is why he hides his identity and race from people and doesn't scream: " Hey, guys, you know what? I am a Demon, in fact, I am the son of the Demon King himself, how you feel about me now? "

If he said any hint about the 10C, creatures that existed in Goddess Elizabeth time, the chance that she will recover her memories is above 50%, a risk that Meliodas can't take, and yes, Elizabeth is ALWAYS with him, putting her away will just increase her natural curiosity and you know that Elizabeth get what she wants when she is curious about her lover, Meliodas.
Also, any hint of them will make questions like this inevitable: " By the way Captain, how do you know this? Aren't those demons from 3000 years? How do you know this? Give us something that makes sense, please. We aren't kids. "

Meliodas will basically shot himself and anyway due to their weakness ( at the time ) compared to the Demons, knowing their decrees wouldn't change a damn thing. For Merlin, it wasn't a problem because Meliodas knew her natural resistance towards decree, even his own little brother know it so Meliodas? Lol, you get my point.
Same for the Gowther thing, if he said that he knew Gowther's creator, several questions about how he knew, will come and if he keeps silent about it, they will suspect him even more, that is an endless loop.
If he said the truth at that time, that wouldn't benefit Gowther ( in fact, he wanted to forget anything related to his past ) at the time and not even himself, in fact, it would annoy him with more questions from his friends.
Elizabeth needs to know that Meliodas is a Demon and that he existed more than just a lifespan of a Human being to question herself, which risk triggering her memories, a risk that Meliodas was trying to dodge, remember, for him, Elizabeth is everything and the rest is just secondary.
That includes any hint or possibility for her to question herself or the situation, Meliodas want her to stay ignorant in each incarnation.

They were never close before that, they hated each other's guts.

This is a sad fact that no one can't deny.

In Britannia ( post Holy War ), you can't have a peaceful life with others races because you are discriminated from the very beginning of just being a Demon.
As soon as people ( Humans, Giants, Goddesses, and Fairies ) see you as a Demon, you are basically the incarnation of Evil that must be destroyed and if you can't be destroyed, then they have to stay away from you.
The only way is to hide your true identity, hence why Meliodas learned how to suppress his demonic presence throughout 3000 years to the point that King, for example, believed that Meliodas was indeed a Human Being, same for Ban and Diane.

I am going to point this out again: King and ban were not close comrades back in the day. They didn't get along at all. They only became close after the capital of death event and even that only because of elaine. Before that they were merely work acquaintances that barely stood each other.

Intelligence does not fully mean power. That god also created a curse that is unbreakable by anyone lower then them, bring back someone form death no matter how they die, can absorb any magic attack, created decree that can't be resisted without the blessing of a god who's their equal and was able to reside in purgator forn a period of time that longer then there been intelligent life on earth and hasn't grown weaker at all in spite of the lands climate.

King is pick by a tree. Your point?
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Based on what? The fact you hear so munch talk of the demons and Goddess yet not the fairies implies that the gods are the older ones. Also darkness and light are older then the earth itself.
My point was simple if you just read my post but tldr:

Based in how Nakaba has written it, it's POSSIBLE for King to get a lot stronger. Since he was at 4k with no wings and jumped to 40k with very tiny wings. Which is only 10k less than Gloxinia who has fully developed wings and mastery over his spirit spear.

So King jumping drastically in power isn't IMPOSSIBLE considering how it's been shown. Now will it happen? Idk I'm not the writer but is it bullshit if it does happen? Not really since they stated before that King has potential to be the strongest fairy king there is.

Actually i think the things u hear little about tend to be the most powerful things. Its exactly because the tree is such a mystery that it can be held to possess tremendous power. It's origin, and true nature is all in mystery compared to the demon king. The fact we know more about the gods means nothing at all compared to them being older and more powerful. The tree could be alot older and powerful.
We know alot more about celebs but they aren't more powerful than people we know nothng about, who run the world.
