Yeah, it is a bit weird. Doesn't the Christmas Special take place after the timeskip? Maybe we'll get an anime announcement soon.

the ovas has some time inconsistencies, for example, the christmas omake, how the heck it happened in the 5 days between the chapter were all the FT members finally gathered in chapter 437 to 438 when they were rebuilding and it been stated 5 days been passed and then mest show up saying makarov needed to be rescued. recently Happy mentioned that its September during the war after Brandish first mention August to the group. so there's no way the christmas omake couldnt have happened unless the omake itself is a spoiler on what happened after the war. sorry overthinking this. I just remember the ova that just came out couldnt have happened with Warrod showing up in the bathhouse otherwise, team natsu wouldnt act like its there first time meeting him in the Sun village arc and there was no time for rest as Tartoros kicked in. Mashima himself mentioned that any of the omakes that contradict the main continuity happened in a dream by Lucy in one of the questionaires

I'm looking forward this OVA, Fairies' Christmas is one of my favourite omakes of the series. Also, I wonder about what will be this after story. May it be Jerza? We will see on 16th December

by the way every fairy tail volumes has a mashima color illustration of a girl in the backcover which the american released never includes. for those wondering who got the new volume 58,

I must admit the gruvia fan in me was hoping Juvia to get it the gruvia heavy volume since Levy got the last volume that focus on gajevy, but Zera looks good here. I know juvia got one already in volume 47 and Lucy seems like the only one that get multiple volumes(especially lately it been about her star dresses).

I saw this browsing on the wiki, it's hella old cause it was a promotional special for the first FT movie but it's dope I just wanted share cause I've never seen it. Eclair, Dyst, and Lucy look the most amazing. Can't wait to see what the alternative volume cover is gonna look like for the 2nd movie.

Natsu is drawn very good in this cover.

Friendship does have its limits I can write off a lot of the Chendy(or whatever the shipping name is) pics as girl being very close, but I have not seen too many friends stand hands clasped staring so lovingly into each other's eyes while blushing. Foreheads touching while smiling sure, but this looks like soul gazing not a only friends moment. I would actually call this and the spinning tweet and the wendy and chiela chapter cover the most suggestive out there, but those other two are at least thing that friends would do. This reminds me too much of a scene from the final episode of Avatar the legend of Kora.

I do not see much to see, remember how the Japanese handle the friendship, especially the female close, the image of Wendy and Chelia I see more similar to the friendly relationship between Naru Narusegawa and Mutsumi Othohime of Love Hina, where even kisses there was but not They were Yuris, only they were too good friends, but well heterosexuals that if

Well i do know what you mean about friendships but, it is one reason that I go back and for with chendy. I don't remember love hina well still it does not mirror the pic like this http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net...g_hands.png/revision/latest?cb=20160816155937 which is stated to be intentionally implied, besides another example would be Nanoha and Fate which seems to better parallel Cheila and Wendy. There is also a difference of genre a harem or false harem in this case treats such things different, that being said thereis always room for differing veiws especially until there is something more concrete. But can you not call people that see things a little differently perverts.

Nice cover. It's good to have from so many characters in the last couple of volumes (CLUTTER!) to a simple one with just Gray and Natsu.

Oh wow, I've got to say I really like the look of this cover. It may just be Natsu and Gray having a stare-off but I love how Mashima's drawn them here. With the fire and ice aura emanating from them, it looks very well done imo. This is one volume I'd go and buy purely for the cover aha.

Putting these two is the most spoiler free. It's cooly, I like the vibe coming from it alot like y'all are saying. Vol 60's cover characters candidates to me are Larcade, Sting, Kagura, Natsu going off the current events.

Yeah, I have to agree. The cover for volume 60 will be interesting to see, I think it could be a mix of a few things like Sting in White Shadow Mode and possibly any something tying into any interaction with Natsu, and the August and Irene fights too. Let's see if I predict it right when they show the cover for volume 60 :P

Yeah, Erza's been looking real good in these OVAs. I think that's my favorite special edition cover out of the three.
