This news on Black Clover getting an anime is great, just as soon as I was about to start reading it . Also to be fair to SP, they did both naruto vs. sasuke fights, part 1 and part 2, amazing. It's just they suck with an overall output in quality but they deal with alot of long runners so budget matters.
Just pointing out the irony is all. I wonder if people would still be excited if Toei was animating it. And its not like the anime is going to make the source of material any better
Despite disliking the majority of Pierrot's animations, I love their soundtrack choices. The majority of Naruto, Bleach and even TSE songs are awesome. I hope they do the same with Black Clover.
It's worth mentioning that Pierrot made Yuyu Hakusho, Hikaru no Go, GTO, Fushigi Yuugi, Beelzebub, Akatsuki no Yona and a lot of other good animations.
Let's see some Weekly Shonen Jump average disk sales for long running series and short seasonal series.

Not only My hero academia is on the lower half of the Short Seasonal series, but at a place where there is only series that go as far as S2, with the exception of Bakuman, where there is no data for the 2 last Seasons.
In terms of Long Running series, My Hero Academia would just above One Piece. Though is important to notice that looking at the numbers My Hero Academia seems to be doing better than One Piece by 1,011 copies per disk, in reality when counting One Piece first 5 disks(the same number that My Hero Academia has right now), it had an average of 4,935 copies per volume, 1,458 copies per volume more than what Academia is doing.
I thought that My Hero Academia did better than this, just not the expected. Now I want Nisekoi third season. This is unfair. hahaha
I hope they don't give up of Shokugeki because of these sales. I have no idea why it sold like that.

I read an interview with Studio Lerche producers a while ago
they said they made back the money they spent making AssClass and from licensing and streaming deals overseas
and that was before the dvds were even out
I'll not be surprised if that's the case with most of anime that get a second season despite meh sales
licensing and streaming make them enough money to continue making an ip
On a bit of a different subject, I wonder what the next WSJ series to get an anime will be. Main contenders are
Zumou - more than enough content for one but the setting might turn studios away thinking it has low potential to sell well or boost the manga much
Dance Club - has just about enough content but has a similar issue to Zumou with the added problem of being rather difficult to animate accurately
Samon - needs a bit more content but already has interest from the Gintama director, with Gintama ending next year I can see it getting animated in a year or two if he's still willing to go ahead with it (and if it's still around of course)
Kimetsu no Yaiba - as long as it keeps doing well in the rankings it'll likely get one as soon as there's enough content for it (probably early-mid 2018)
Yuragi - same situation as Yaiba except it has good volume sales so it's less at risk in the short term
It's hard to say what'll be first out of those five, it mainly depends on if anyone's willing to do Zumou.
The problem with Nisekoi is that by the time they'd be thinking about doing a s3 a certain arc was happening which killed off much of its popularity (especially with otaku, the people who buy BDs).

The arranged marriage one at around ch 190. It got a crazy amount of backlash, resulting in the series dropping to the bottom of the rankings and staying there almost every week until it ended.

Nah, the popularity dropped there because it was when Komi Naoshi started to ditch all girls to prepare for the end and he started with Marika at that, which was very popular indeed. Many authors don't have this courage because it will obviously destroy the popularity of the series since people don't react very well when their ship is crushed. XD

That's really not what was going on at all, Raku is the one that got all the complaints (I remember a bunch of anime blogs that rarely talk about manga in general never mind weekly stuff were making posts for every chapter, purely to comment on how shitty and annoying Raku was). Heck by the end of the arc people were glad their favourite character was done with him.

But everybody knew that since chapter 1! XD
Whether Raku deserved any of the girls or not was not the point, he didn't deserve since chapter 1, but we had to bear with it, like almost every protagonist in romance, actually. hahaha
It was only brought to everybody's attention at the end of the series because famous anime blogs realized that Nisekoi existed and started to point that out, but who read the series already knew this since the beginning.
Tsugumi got betrayed. The best girl was done petty. But yeah around there is when I started to read Nisekoi after the chapters built up and not weekly. Still, a S3 will be LIT

Yaiba could get one very soon if you consider how early WT got one. It will be around for a while, but isn't going to get a massive boost anytime soon, so I'd think Shueisha would want an Anime early to promote the series. It's hard to imagine, but could happen I guess.
Yuragi could also get one soon, but I don't know how long it usually takes for Ecchi to get adaptations. I don't think there's much rush to get it an anime.
Zumou is the obvious choice, but there are many reasons why it probably wont which is a massive shame.
Don't think Samon or Dance will get one any time soon. So Yaiba I reckon.
Jump Festa has been a disappointment. It's been a long time since they've announced some great One Piece figures. They've been releasing Matsuena inspired trash. Disgraceful.
