Honestly, I didn't think much of it. It's a cover page of them talking.

Maybe if it was earlier on in the series, I would have looked into it more. But not now. Last chapter we got a cover page of Lucy wearing Natsu's scarf. We've also been getting pretty big NaLu moments. Natsu's name was the last thing Lucy thought of before Dimaria attacked her eyes, and making sure he was okay was the first thing she thought of after waking up. Lucy also hugged him after his battle, and cuddled naked with him. It's not just NaLu, either. Gruvia also had massive moments. I mean, Gray and Juvia impaled themselves to save each other's lives. A cover page like this really doesn't compare...

Mashima just like to tease fans, even if imho that's useless after chapter 499 (for both Gruvia and Nalu, even if the former is more obvious). He knows shippers will take it as romantic. I mean we just got Lucy basically showing her side towards Natsu and Gray uhm making it clear that Juvia is much more than a friend, so what???

Still I am avoiding tumblr because of crazy shippers lmao

Bromance, although they look good as a couple too. Funny how they actually look more like a couple in this cover than Natsu and Lucy ever did in the entire series....

Got to admit they do look good together, and there's many that prefer this pair according to Mashima. But I wouldn't say they're good enough to replace my Nalu ship

Comments are funny as usual I like them as bros, it's actually canon that Gray thinks Lucy is cute but that's about it. I actually liked Natsu x Erza early in the series especially after the ToH arc, Hiro played with my emotions when he carried her like a princess... but the big 4 are well on their to become canon

I wanna see more Natsu and Brandish just to see how well they gel and get along.

Are you telling me you like Natsu x Brandish too??? I'm glad I wasn't the only crazy one Natsu's opposite personality but equal vibe made me like it. Brandish's smile in 521 was everything had to point that tidbit out lol.

Yes Gruvia fans maybe bigger in number ,On the other hand, those small percentage are louder, They tweet Mashima non stop 24/7 with fan arts and such since 2014. They even create more twitter accounts to like the tweet to be displayed in the top comments.

Gray and Lucy are just having a chat, it was a pretty good cover. They look great together because they're both attractive characters. You could pair Gray with most females and it'd fit well.

Mashima totally missed out on a funny moment for Lucy to say a sly "love rival" when Juvia tried to jump Natsu who she thought was Gray in Avatar...... and Juvia to reply "Lucy-San thinks Juvia is her lover rival???" (The world would have ended in Tumblr)

I gotta say, Avatar is the only arc in which they probably interacted. And I just loved Natsu yelling at Gray "and you didn't even tell Juvia? what a jerk" this was A++++++

Sadly, even if they show concern towards each other (Keyes fight, etc etc) there's basically nothing. Strange when you think that Natsu is the embodiment of friendship in this manga and Juvia acknowledges everyone who's important to Gray .___.
