I beg to any well informed MH member to start a youtube channel... It's amazing the level of disinformation that those "otakutubers" like to diffuse.

I didn't watch but i'm sure that the ending of Naruto make a bigger impact than Bleach.

I've been reading Saint Seiya recently (just got to vol 8) and while it's entertaining enough the art, well, sucks. It's like that one gag in Doujin Work where the mc learned to draw faces pretty well but only at one angle except without the drawing well part.

Excluding gag manga artists, is Kurumada the worst major ws jump series artist at drawing people? I don't think I've read any other series where they could only draw at one angle.

I was about to start that and a MH podcast before I entered my current suicidal phase.
Maybe I'll get around to it again sometime.

Speaking of crappy art, just how was Shimabu's previous gag manga so popular with a main character that ugly? Looking at the color pages posted earlier this week, I couldn't help but feel disgusted with how ugly the guy was. Not that Shimabu's art sucked (the art in Toriko was AMAZING), but I'm mystified at how something that repulsive could be popular. Were the gags just that good?

Somewhat related, but I just saw that Kimetsu MAD OP, and it convinced me that a Kimetsu anime could be pretty good as long as there were small character design changes. Kind of like Haikyuu.

Saint Seiya art does not suck.
I thought the same when I first started reading it but I realized that he just has a weird way of drawing characters that you have to get used to (like Oda for some). Other than that though his art is great.

I get to read 8 chapters (out of 18 chapters currently) of Spring Weapon No.1 (not in English so don't ask for link).

It is SO HILARIOUS!!! The comedy is way better than Samon or Poro. Too bad the sale isn't high to warrant its popularity.

It has Boke (the MC) and tsukkomi (the agent). There is one chapter Number gives out a new copy of Jump magazine with Red Sprite Cover on it.

It has usual school-SOL stuff. But with Number it is so funny. It has reference to kid's manga like Burst Ball Barrage!! Super B-Daman. Oh and Romeo and Juliet's romance. It doesn't rely on wordplays/puns as far as I can tell

From what Ive read, I think Spring Weapon is way funnier than Samon and Poro. It's still no Saiki or Gintama, but it's a very solid comedy manga.

Kurumada can't draw faces, but the cloths are next level stuff. Since you already are in volume 8, I hope you can endure until you get to Hades.

Boy this guy is terrible:facepalm

Had he done proper research he'd have seen there wasn't as much of a drop off as he thinks, also why is he writing off Nisiko like that in terms of sales numbers . If your going to state sales numbers all things that can affect them should be considered in terms of lose/growth. I also love the bit about the authors needing to have been spread out on when they ended the editor as he so pointed out has a limited control over what ends sometimes a series thats not doing well in the magazine has to go so something that could draw more people in, and the editor can't really control when an author whose been there forever desides he wants to end their series. As volume sales go yes Nisiko, Toriko, and Bleach where selling but they weren''t affecting sales numbers in the magazine all that much by themselves anyway.

That last bit about shounen jump should consider bringing back a Bleach anime was hilarious apparently he doesn't know that Shounen Jump has no control over whether or not the anime returns.

Recently, all KnY volumes are in top 200 of shosekiranking, the growth is slow compare to Neverland but still good for the series.

I think that's the point, even in the first chapter it poked at how bizarre he looked. Me too, I'm trying to wonder what made Takeshi so popular. Was it the gags? The emotional stories/characters? Or Both? I think we'll have our answer once we read more of it. I noticed that even Toriko ended, some of the Japanese fans were asking for a series like Takeshi again.

I recommend reading this article, regarding Takeshi. It got me pretty eager to read it tbh after looking through it.
https://obscuremanga.wordpress.com/2014/12/22/seikimatsu-leader-den-takeshi/

The article previewed some of the art in later chapters which honestly look pretty good.

Here's others I found from quick google searches

I want to know how well Takeshi was selling. I also want to know what it's peak sales were too; it had 8,000,000 copies sold after it ended with 25 volumes out. How could it go on for 25 volumes without an anime? Anyways I think Shuiesha really missed out on not giving this series an anime, considering it sold well for not having an anime it could've been a massive hit. I still wish it got one even today, it could still do pretty well.

I hardly disagree... Why the most sold manga of all time need any more publicity? One Piece does not need it...

One Piece should not even be ranked on toc...

For the 20th year it should have its own magazine :V

One Piece does not need JUMP. JUMP needs One Piece.
This bold part is not a reason to give more cover and CP for One Piece?

speaking of youtube cancer

forneverworld latest video is about Black Clover, 12 minutes of him taking a giant shit all over it

he finishes the video by saying he liked it and will keep reading it which I will never understand since he was struggling and reaching to say anything postive

it's entertaining until you go to the comments section and see he wants to get into Kimetsu no Yaiba next

What's the likely hood that he actually read it and not just watched savagezwipanda Black Clover review videos

I feel like a lot of YouTubers just parrot what other people have said rather than put in their own effort.
They aren't the most intellectual bunch.
