You mean Mister Ajikko, right? BTW, I've always thought Soma's character is a total rip-off of Youichi. Senzaemon is also a dead ringer for the Ajiou, Murata. The only difference is Sen is a stripper, and that's about it. The sequel series is also all wrapped up in my country.

Bha have better rating than pokemon and its just now starting to grow even bigger. In 5-6 weeks it will be 5%. And yes it is way bigger than pokemon is Japan right now. The anime and the manga all sell way better than pokemon's one.

Honestly though, we're looking at a ton of new series in a few months.
U19, Poro, Samon-kun, and Hinomaru Sumo are all in their last stretch.
We Never Learn and Hungry Marie are possibly in danger.
Gintama shouldn't have too much left.
That's seven spots that could all open up around the same time. Could be cool for Jump to do another huge serialization round and maybe things will stick.
Also no guarantee that Dr. Stone or Robot x Lazerbeam will stick around.

Spring Weapon #1 is getting treated like a Hinomaru Sumo so I think it's safe due to editorial love.

Sumo is my favorite series in the magazine right now. It's pretty obvious though it's only there because it's an editorial favorite.

I wonder if english jump will ever start including Haikyuu on the group covers, they're doing chapters on their free site (even if they're far behind) so they have a reason to include it, all they'd have to do is put in a page promoting their chapters. Their version of the group covers can look a bit bare sometimes.

I think they don't do it because some ppl may get the impression that it's in the magazine

By the way, My Hero Academia is getting the sales boost expected by everybody here? Like, it is already reaching 1 million?
TV ratings don't mean much for Jump without sales increase.

no one in their right mind expected a million copy sales boost from the second season, so you're pulling this everybody here remark out of your imagination

but it's getting a boost all of its volumes are lingering around the 100 place mark on daily sales for weeks now

bigger rating = more views = more people watching the commercials = more money for the producers = shueisha is one of the producers

it's the most basic stuff

I wasn't expecting a big increase in sales, I was half expecting the increase to be not very much, maybe 100k. I was really hopeful for it though, and so far it's not happening yet besides backlog sales. There is still hope though because we haven't gotten to the meat of the sports festival, which is the 1v1 tournament. Really hoping that the Todoroki origin episode really fires up the fujo community.

Edit: holy shit those last couple of pages in one piece were amazing, especially the last two panels with Brook lol. Oda is really stepping it up this arc.

That's what I said too a while back. Even I never expected a day would come when I am pining my hopes on the Fujo community to give my favorite manga a huge boost.

That said, if TodoDeku shippers multiply and outnumber BakuDeku shippers, then all the better...and I'm straight.
