I recently began re-watching the TV series Cracker. I forgot just how much I love this show. So old though

Oh! Immediately found a longer version... but the first 15 sec is still the best.

I'm really curious how Defenders is going to turn out. Should be great just by virtue of combining Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Really hope they take the tone and plot direction from Daredevil though. Jessica Jones was so bleak. Luke Cage was so campy. And Iron Fist was well...Iron Fist.

I feel like if they make Luke Cage and Jessica Jones co-leads in a Daredevil driven story with Luke Cage and Iron Fist in lesser supporting roles this show could be great. If they try to split time between all four equally I'm going to be a little worried.

Not a new show or anything, or rather "new" new, but has anyone seen Legion? I just finished watching it and I have to say the show was just awesome. The creative directing and risks they took really paid off. I feared it was just going to be random, unrelated, "craziness" but boy was it a ride! I wasn't sure for the first episode, but after episode 2 I was hooked.

As for Defenders:

I really want to see it mainly focus on Jessica and Matt since they are the strongest characters among the shows. Plus, I would really like to see them work together, like what's shown to us in some of the comics.

As for why...I really enjoyed Jessica Jones' tone. It was more psychological and thoughtful, and witty, than the other shows Plus she wasn't the "brooding badass hero" we see so much, though nothing of course is wrong with that. Her cynicism and reluctance to be a hero (and blunt "rudeness") should make for an interesting mashup with Matt's personality specifically.

I found it randomly on some sidebar. Watched it and got hooked. It blew my non-existant expectations away. Every episode was entertaining. The main character, villain, plot incl. twists were all amazing. Definitely my favorite show of 2017 so far.

If only koen was here so I could recommend it to him

I liked Legion a lot too. It was really weird but in a good way.

The Flight of the Concords guy stole the show though. What a random and insanely great casting choice.

Hello. I'm still waiting for the second season of Westworld. It's a great series, a pity they only release it in between the seasons of Game of Thrones.

I loved it too, but it's probably going to be quite the wait. I don't think it'll be on every year. Or at least, they'll have to budget it differently from season 2 and on if they want it that way.

On another note, I'm super psyched about the final season of The Leftovers starting this past Sunday. For some reason it wasn't on my radar, and was a pleasant surprised after the Girls finale, which was also really strong IMO.

I loved it too, but it's probably going to be quite the wait. I don't think it'll be on every year. Or at least, they'll have to budget it differently from season 2 and on if they want it that way.

Westworld won't be on TV until 2018 at least. It's the same with the first season, which started shooting in 2014 I think. @Asia Run

I did not have any expectations with it either, but I think that was for the best. In the end it made the experience even better, I think. How they

used Benny/Lenny as an "avatar" of the Devil with Yellow eyes (can't remember his name—something Faruk?) came as a surprising twist!

I also really love the guy they got to play David—he was phenomenal! If I remember correctly, he studied schizophrenia prior to the role for months, from asking people with it to talking with professionals. Now that's a guy that takes his acting seriously. The rest of the cast was equally enchanting of course, but the only other person that I really enjoyed as much as I did David was Oliver Bird and his actor.

Overall a high quality show. I really hope others here give the show a chance. They will miss out on something great otherwise.

Gotta say this spring is pretty packed with (potential) awesomeness. Fargo S3, Leftovers S3, Sense8 S2, Twin Peaks S3, American Gods and as a fan of Margaret Atwoods MaddAddam trilogy, I'm pretty eager to see Handmaid's Tale, despite the fact that thats a book I haven't read yet.

That does not strike me as a good idea.

At least not unless it is heavily adapted. To that point where it's more Wheel of Time inspired rather following the books. They are going to need to cut things very liberally to make that watchable. Like for example the character Egwene, the entire book Path of Daggars (in which literally nothing happens), and so many other things.. There is probably a good TV show buried there somewhere but getting to it seems like a screenwriter and editor's nightmare to me.

Don't get me wrong I love that they are at least trying to make fantasy shows but that seems like tough project to tackle. They could do an awesome TV version of Conan 10x more easily at like 1/5th the cost.

In their defense. The Shannara series was bad long before the TV production people got there.

The show is just transcendent. It gives you all of the same vibes you had when watching LOST all those years ago, but with a much darker and sarcastic tone. I loved the first season too, which is apparently what turned a lot of people off from it.

I was trying to forget that show. I almost had...but then you done did it. lol

If it is anything like that show, I'll cry myself to death. Wheel of Time is the second greatest fantasy series I have ever read, second only to The Lord of the Rings and yes, beating A Song of Ice And Fire (though that takes 3rd place of course). Robert handled its themes so well, so that religious and non-religious people could read it and love it, and it has the same kind of world building depth and character strength. I hope they put it on HBO and take their time writing the episodes, I really do.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. Maybe because I just recently watched.

@Moragella I enjoyed the second season too. Sure it was different and the pacing changed a bit but the premise of it, especially after the first season was captivating for me. Moving from a broken town to one where normality seems to exist, protected from the disasters that have crippled your lives, then seeing that cracks in it and the facade being lifted in the end.

I need to start season 3 today. So excited.

I think I'll be checking this out when it comes out. A YT I follow mentioned it being in production way back when, so I've been aware of it for a while and the trailer does look appealing.
