Part 5 is the 2nd most popular, the most popular is Stardust Crusader. Japanese loves their Jotaro, which also one of the reason why people hate part 6.

You non-ironically likes it? Are you for real?
I will let you figure that one out, hun.

But I will say this, the Isobe Soma comic was pretty hilarious.

I've only seen the first couple episodes of Stardust Crusaders, but Jotaro is my favorite design in the entire series from pics I've seen around. I still like Joseph's character the most though.

Also, off topic, but does anyone have a list of the twitter accounts for Jump mangaka? I remember someone posted a list before (I think Mammo), but I don't remember if it was this thread or the previous one.

Thanks a lot. I just made a twitter account when I saw that Kimetsu got an account, so I was hoping to follow some Jump authors. I already have Mashima and Hori, but I'll be sure to add the other guys too. Thanks again. :)

On the subject of Food Wars does it feel like the "battles" recently are becoming a bit repetitive or is it just me? It seems to follow the same basic structure it had back when it first started out. Chef comes along and makes something that makes them look like hot shit then Souma comes along and makes a dish that kicks its ass. Is it a limitation of subject matter or setting that the battles start feeling this way?

You're only realizing this now? It's always been like this since the autumn elections. Heck, throughout the whole manga it's always been like this with how the antagonists are all one-note characters only. I can hardly feel anything from SnS's characters.

I have the same inking pen that the WNL artist is using in his last video. Wish I was able to jump right in to inks like that :/

The current arc has been enjoyable, pretty much better than the previous ones. Tabata does character interactions much better than the battle scenes. Here's hoping Yuno gets some more development or at least more panel time. He's advertised as Asta's "rival", yet the only thing we really know about him is that he's basically a Sasuke who isn't an asshole. I want to see more of him and other squads in general.

here's a funny story on a related note

remember in 2014 when Jump hold the oneshot competition for fans around the world? I actually competed in that

>procrastinate working on a manuscript "until I get a good idea"
>before I knew it the deadline turned from 3 months to 3 weeks left
>freak out as I realize there's no way I can draw that many pages in this short time
>to save time decide to submit a gag manuscript because it require less pages, although I never wrote a comedy in my life
>to save time, decide to shift to digital despite only working in traditional way before
>to save time, reused the same background I drew in earlier pages and spam it everywhere
>to save time, I inked everything in one go and never turned back, needless to say mistakes were made
>oneshot turns out like shit
>submitted it anyway

never heard from them back and I don't blame them

I don't regret any of it, I learned a lot and forced myself to learn working on tablet and painting app or at least navigate myself around it without embarrassing myself too bad

my biggest take away is I should focus on making a good pilot instead of writing an idea that set up a long running series
that was what everyone else doing

let's hope they do another competition again, they did a similar thing on a smaller scale last year (they only took submissions from USA, China, Korea)

Does anyone remember which volumes Samon has its serious arcs in? I'm up to 6, might take a break and read something else if it'll be a while so I don't overdose on gags.

This honestly sounds exactly like what I did for my senior thesis.

Woooah sounds tiring and stressful. But I've only been coming up with concepts for a bunch of One shots lately. How long ago was this competition?

Probably the best so far because no fighting. Looks like its gonna be a tournament, which means no despair villains. Hopefully will turn out pretty decent. Like someone else said, I hope we see more of Yuuno. Guys been talked up at the main rival, but aside from his personality being like a wet rag and being OP, we know nothing about him. Hes been in what, like 10 chapters?

What I really want to see is Asta and Yuno fighting as a duo. That, or maybe a 1v1 Naruto vs Sasuke style. A fight to test each other for themselves. You know what, just give me both please, Tabata my dude. Give us a reason to actually care about Yuno.

when the rankings plummeted, I assume

I wrote mine with the help of a friend, actually, he isn't even a friend, he's a friend of a friend so an acquaintance

I used his tears and sweat for ink

he cared more than I did

last year's competition? I think it was in the summer between July and September
the international one was I dunno, 3 or 4 years ago?

it wouldn't be as stressful if I had help and was organized

I published a children book that I both wrote and draw alone, I published a comicbook with a help of 2 friends, wrote scripts for a tv show before

and it all went smoothly and that was was when I was waaay younger and less experienced

But was it funny though?
no, it was a generic jrpg parody about a party made of monsters (think Gakumaon but not funny )

don't wanna get off topic too much, so let's just say it's a combination of having "hold my beer" attitude and knowing the right people :cheez

do you want to be a content creator?

I did this in the mid 00s when you had to get an agent then he had to meet up with publishers face to face and then they contract you, but these days you don't have to do all that, all of these online money transfers sites and self publishing sites are super helpful

you can get the same exposure you get on tv or printed media online

just upload your work to one of these self publishing sites and put a pay lock on it and that is it, it's as easy as having both a paybal account and a deviantart account

just you know, don't quit your day job or anything, no guarantees you will be able to make a living out of it
