Not happy to see that Kenshin will not start next issue, well...I hope Watsuki works hard with his editor on fine tuning everything and we will have us a gread read in July. I am curious though about the new series, I like the art.

you can't be a true Bleach's successor without being a bottom dweller

We get it, you don't like Bleach. Geez...

Your beloved (and boring) Kemono Jiken isn't all that much higher

I feel like I should take offense at that but eh, can't really deny it. At least it's only been slowly going down because it isn't new anymore and all the popular stuff is always in the first half anyway.

Bleach fandom took Kubo's trolling for 15 years

but you can't take my trolling every now and then?

you should've built an immunity to trolling and abusive relationships by now

15 years is a little melodramatic, more like 7 or 8. Anyways, the artwork for the new series looks familiar, is it by the same guy who did that one about the lolis.

I love how that's just how people refer to him now.
But yeah it's him.

It's too hard to find that Greek (?) letter he used in his past series title, that's why. XD
His new series looks as bad as Myuu & I in terms of ecchi, so I think I'll pass this time.

Some weeks ago I finished Tegami Bachi and tweeted to Hiroyuki Asada thanking him for the series and all, he answered and said my Japanese was good. Best author ever. I hope he returns with another series soon.

first 4 chapters of Moriarty have been uploaded to bato, I've forgotten how good this artist was in mimicking Akira Amano art

also the first chapter Densetsu no Yuusha no Konkatsu was uploaded to bato too, check it out if you don't mind reading something that might end soon

No one talks about this: Which are your favorite artists from Jump SQ or SQ Crown? Considering yesterday's topic, I wanted to know this from you

Obata and Yabuki, it would kind of feel wrong to pick anyone else.

I also have a soft spot for Inada Kouji (Beet artist) since his art feels very retro, almost as if his artstyle's been consistent and barely changed since Adventure of Dai first started (other than the monthly/quarterly art being much higher quality than the weekly art of course).

There isn't much else from this magazine being translated. Sousei no Onmyouji and Blue Exorcist look cool but I eventually lost interest.

Seraph
Platinum End
Twin Star
Kono Oto Tomare

I think all have either up to date translations or are only a month or two behind. Prince of Tennis is the only other longer series with a lot of translation but it's fallen behind a lot over the past couple years (it still gets batches of translations on occasion but it'd take a lot to catch up now).

Kemono Jihen is newer if you want something that isn't really long, but translations are a couple chapters behind and releases are slow because the translator is lazy as all hell.

My all time favorite is Gamma, and Fantasma was really good too. Hoping both of the authors come back with new series soon since it's getting pretty hard for me to justify still buying the magazine.

Blue Exorcist s2 ended at ch 34 if you're wanting to jump on after that. It'd be best to start from ch 1 with Twin Star though, the anime butchered most of the content it went through.

Tegami Bachi is the best series ever printed in SQ, so Hiroyuki Asada is my favorite artist by far. Amyuu is also among my favorites, Kono Oto Tomare is just another masterpiece.

Only read 5-6 series in this mag, but
Obata obviously, and Yabuki. I do freaking love Twin Stars art though, its got a unique crisp style to it. AnE and SotE are both pretty mediocre art wise.

If we're talking story, Twin Star is my current favourite, with Claymore being all time.

Amyuu and the Black Torch artist are my favorite that are currently serialized. Ikeda Akihisa would be my overall favorite, wish he would come back with a new series already.
