I must be remembering a different timeline, as Haikyuu!! never seemed like it was badly ranked

I do remember seeing it near the bottom, even last but can't remember exactly. If I were to say it seemed around ch 40? Will check later.

Since Yokota is coming back so soon do you guys think he may have ended Straighten Up on his own terms to start this new series? Maybe reaching for a bigger series?

Personally I never believed he was axed and thought he just ended it, but I know a lot of people say he was axed

What is this, the 3rd Soccer series in the past few years. 3rd times a charm right? I like Yokota's art, and Straighten Up was a cute series, so I'm looking toward to it.

I am not expecting a lot, but as a huge soccer fan, I wish it will be good. Getting around 200 chapters would be a huge success.

I hope someday Yokota Takuma do a rural slice of life manga. Something like... Maybe Gin no Saji, but especially something like Harvest Moon (the game series, that more than deserves a manga adaption). I think it's his style.

Considering how badly some of the new series are doing, could Spring Weapon survive this round of cancellations? It's dropped back down recently but it's still sitting above Poro. I'm not sure they'd drop 3 gag series at the same time.

Haikyuu!! was around the bottom in the weeks a little before the anime announcement. It was obvious that something special was the reason, specially when the series was in the Karasuno lost to Seijou.

In terms of sales Haikyuu!! sold a lot since really early on. I believe only the 1st and maybe 2nd volume didn't sold that very well. After that it sold pretty good for the period in its life it was.

I love football and I loved Straighten Up! so count me in! With HZ wrapping up itd be nice to have a comfy soccer manga, a semi realistic volleyball manga, and Prince of Golf running together.

Also, wtf is with another romcom. Terrible timing. Yuragi is killing it, and I'm not so sure We Can't Study will stay in the bottom and get cancelled. Its really good, and can easily rise in the rankings given its gotten a few decent ranks.
New series is just DOA.

If someone is interested, i created two excel files, the first one "GRAFICI CAP" with all the chapters, color pages, absences and some other stuff from the 1999 'til today (i've not found datas for the oneshot prior 2007 except particular ones like GFC), and the second one "GRAFICI TOC" with the rankings of the series in the same period. For the rankings in TOC, i used the following rules:
-Color Pages and Lead CP are not ranked;
-Absences or not rankings are displayed in gray;
-Isobee and Jaguar are considered in Bottom 5 (red);
-In the rankings don't count the numbers written for the each series' first 7 chapters.

Also, i've done average considering the past 5, 7 and 10 weeks to have a specific view on those short periods of time and not on the entire year.
For example, in rank 5 you can find the average from Jump #23 to Jump #27.

Well if you discount the ecchi it's pretty much about the same thing, still a romcom. Meaning there are already 2, and this will be the third series of it's kind. Jump doesn't really run so many romcom series and the current two are pretty good. Hell they've gone years without having even a single romcom. The point being made is that it will probably struggle to survive unless it's excellent. Now is not the time to start a new romcom.
