Ok now, somebody please explain to me what the appeal in Melizabeth is! I just don't get it! So please enlighten me!

Melizabeth is a Eldrich Abomination to me. That is to say, I can understand aspect of why it would be liked, but cannot comprehend it at the same time.

Seriously though, it probably boils down to her innocence, his tragedy, and the whole reincarnation, cursed lovers thing.

If I were actually endeared to either of them, I'd probably root for it, but as it stands, she's boring and he's the "infallible" main character of a Shounen series. Plus that whole molesting thing that still hasn't really been explained. Plus calling an infant his woman.

I also want to put it out there that Vivian can do better than Gilthunder...I don't know where that came from, but I felt I had to say it for some reason.

I can see the appeal, but I've seen it done better. I just never understood why Elizabeth was in love with Mel. The first time he sees her he gropes her. I just don't see the chemistry. Elizabeth just reminds me of the girls in high school who were just soooo in love with their boyfriends, while the boys were just in it for the booty lol.

Vivian could get any man she wants. I don't see whats so sexy about pink boy. I would be Vivian's knight any day

Next chapter will coincidentally be more about their relationship. For me the problem comes mainly from Elizabeth, I can see her appeal, "extremely nice girl who can be courageous to protect the ones she loves" but I don't find her charismatic enough. I find that Nakaba sometimes overdoes it with her nice attitude sometimes and it can be very annoying, the last chapter has a perfect example. She knows something is odd, she knows Meliodas is hiding certain things, and yet she says things like "I trust you more than anyone". In a way it can be seen as "Elizabeth is so nice she is willing to ignore this to not disturb Meliodas", but in my eyes it's more stupid than anything. Why tell something like this? It's so dumb . The flashback about the Great Holy War made the pairing much more likeable than all these chapters with the current Elizabeth. The first one was more charismatic to me, even though her character is not really different from the 3rd, maybe because she has powers. And also maybe because I doubt she would let Meliodas grope her without doing anything like the current one.

We didn't know much back then, but Cain was spot on about Meliodas. He projects the first Elizabaeth on her reincarnations. And he knows everything while she doesn't. Since Liz was a reincarnation it's clear that she can be reborn with a different personality. Her personality doesn't matter because he knows it's her reincarnation, it's not like he falls for her again and again. the 3rd on being similar to the 1st makes things more convenient. Meliodas's current relationship with Elizabeth is like a travesty of his relationship with the previous ones in my eyes. They are not even a couple despite everything which happened. There was nothing to hide when he was with the first one and they were fighting together, I doubt Liz ever learnt anything about her reincarnation but her personality made the pairing more endearing. The third one knows nothing and has no charisma and her kindness makes her appear stupid often. She is just a shell of the first one.

Didn't expect to write this much . The pairing has potential but it's more annoying than anything, maybe because the progress is incredibly slow too. Meliodas hiding tings is annoying but it doesn't annoy me as much as most, what annoys me is Elizabeth's attitude regarding this.

They're going to birth monsters, figuratively and literally. Can you imagine someone with demon and goddess powers, especially since these two powers essentially counteract each other.

And think of the personality? Meliodas's jackassness, mixed with Elizabeth's doormat tendencies? What kind of person would that even create lol???

I'm actually kind of surprised that Ban and Elaine weren't higher in the polls. Not only do they have their fanbook, but they have that Seven Days manga, and they'be been in the manga a lot recently.

Maybe Japan is finally getting sick of loli's?
