Before I end this rate officially, I just want to thank everyone who took part in it.

I wouldn't exactly say that they're weak, but rather the opposite. They all have and incredible amount of magic power and the capability to use it well, but they're just plain stupid. I mean come on. logically if you could stop time why would you not just kill our opponent ? If you can drain their body of all liquids why not just do it from the start instead of being arrogant ? Hell, the fact that one of them can't even fight a half naked woman is just sad. All in all I think the problem is that their powers are so OP that Hiro had to start making flaws in their personalities. And that is why the 12 are always compared to other past characters and why they've been nerfed in their battles. That's not even mentioning how they've "coincidentally" only fought people that can counter them ( bar Ajeel and Wahl ).

Fair enough on them not using their power properly, but it also comes down to the fact that they just dont seem THAT far above previous villains. All we know is that according to Gray their MP is even greater than Makarov's.
If people like Azuma or Ur or whatever are still giving current FT a decent fight, then how can these spriggans who are getting beaten left and right by current FT be stronger than a GMG dragon?

I will say that Bloodman, Jacob, Dimaria and Brandish would be more dangerous(but not necessarily more powerful) than anyone, including Zeref and Acnologia, if they werent so stupid.

I think the best lucy moment was when she brought up CSK in tartaros to fight mard geer. The another moment was in gmg arc when her and yukino closed down the eclipse gate. In these two moments she kindof saved everybody. Rest of her moments pale in comparison to these two.

Zeref was always hyped up to be finished by natsu. His whole reason of being immortal was to be killed by his brother and strongest demon END. The problem was the execution was very poor.

So many combo's that could have been done

I like how Cana mention Lucy in the August fight tho and that went nowhere. Mashina could have easily made August not be able to copy Spirit magic based on summoning them through keys and done a CSK vs August and add someone else.

1. add Jellal (for the star magic combo and for throw back to Elle vs Shakuma but with Sieg Hart actually participating this time)

2. Add Erza (another holder mage and a throwback because Elle and Julia never teamed up together; then have Jellal and Cobra + Wendy + OS fight Irene; it would also made Irene possessing Wendy make more sense as Erza wouldn't be there; We could have kept with the theme of Irene wanting to kill Erza with Wendy/Jellal and Co protecting her. Irene's backstory could have came with her explaining to Jellal/Wendy why she looked/smelled like Erza; We also would have been spared "Why was the Emperor's son not loved?" to Jellal as it makes more sense to do it to people with parent issues like Lucy/Jude and Erza/Makarov )

3. add Cana and Laxus (she's a holder Mage + he's top tier and as a tribute to Let and Julia as well) also Urano Metria - Fairy Glitter - Fairy Law combo and it could have foreshadowed Lucy would get the third Mavis spell Fairy Sphere before the end of the manga since that came out of nowhere at the end

I don't understand why Neinhart was already taken out right before Hades and Mard Geer. Despite his physical strength, he is powerful with his magic which he happened to easily summon Hades with while already conjuring many more of them that scaled from the bay of Hargeon to across town and then the battlefield. Then there's how he summoned 3 Spriggans which did took a toll out of him that caused them to not be at full strength from when they were alive since they're so powerful. But even still, one of them was overwhelming everyone that required Gildarts to beat him.

And I'm actually amazed that Lucy had made it this far which I understand its more because of the CSK but still it's amazing. Although, I don't see her as a 13. But anyway since CSK comes into play, I find her above Hades and possibly Mirajane if you ask me. But oh well. @Crescent_jinxgrace I really like your post, it makes me see more of how well developed Lucy has gotten more than ever. Such a shame we never seen more of her strength like everybody else.

Nienheart versus Lucy would end with Lucy winning. Why? The only Historia Lucy would fight would be Jackal in which case she would defeat him easily as she did in Tartarous using Aquarius stardress.

That's just it though. Neinhart doesn't just bring back those opponents fought in past battles. For someone like Lucy, her mother would be an option for Historia. Neinhart's magic is psychological as well as physical.

What am i seeing?


@Seven777 I usually agree with you, around 97-98% of the time, but i feel like you're downplaying the Spriggans a bit. They wree disappointing in the way FT beat them with asspulls and PoF and by the way their powers were misused, but there's no way they are inferior to previous villains.
Even when you're talking about Ur, Azuma etc all the Historias that gave a lot of trouble to FT members. They guys stem from... Neinhart's magic, he summoned them all, all around the battlefight in every corner, at the same time, in a blink of an eye and without feeling exhausted or whatever. And keep in mind that he said himself that maintaining 3 Spriggan Historias was tiring for him, so thats saying a lot in comparison. Plus, only the Spriggan Historias were stated to be under their usual power levels.
And Neinhart is majoritarily said to be one of the weakest Spriggan.


Anyway, back on topic. Lucy going out now feels right to me. Following my own ranking i'd say Hades and Mira are going out soon, but Mira might get placed higher than i anticipated.

Csk is a beast ! With Lucy s current mp and if she is not exhausted as the last time,she could maintain it for quite a while.
I'd rate a lot of people lower than Csk Lucy, including Mira,Hades,Mard Geer at least (though even a lot more,but that s debatable)

Yeah Hades should go imo. Personally i gave him a goodmark, and also to Mard Geer, and i might have been too harsh on Neinhart. Imo Hades should have gone before Neinhart.
But i can't really blame or complain, i gave Hades and Neinhart the same score. For some reason.

Emmm... Wendy blocked attack bc of her enchantment magic. TO Sherria is many times stronger than base Sherria, and base Sherria is near Wendy's lvl.

And where it stated that Nienheart can summon only his front foe's killed opponent?? He easily can summon anyone from her life who already dead or even someone from others in battlefield.
And Lucy never beat Jackal in one on one battle now. Historia yes, but not original. Using UM like CSK is nothing in real battle bc no one allow her to do that and everyone just kill her before she do anything.
And if you want, Nienheart just summon Leyla and battle will be already done.
Against Wendy he summon Hades, Azuma, or Irene (why not?).

Before all arc battle is over almost all character can fight to the end. Erza was in one step from the grave after Azir's fight, next after Nienheart, next after Irene. And if she was healed by Wendy, then Natsu after his fight with Zeref was still able to fight.




Laxus spend whole battle with Wahl for his curing, Laxus was in shitty state with all MBP in his body, Laxus wasn't able to deal much damage to Wahl bc his magic didn't work on him. So, Wahl is weak as shit to Laxus, and now...
Never stated that they all beat their historias. We saw only their attack and then Jellal defeated Nienheart. Maybe Laxus didn't beat Hades.

1. I don't get the argument that Wendy blocked Dimaria attack with Enchantment. Rather it was enchantment or not it doesn't change the fact Wendy blocked the attack and helped Chelia out. It is a fact Base Wendy with Enchantment blocked a full powered attack from Dimaria.

Also Base Chelia is clearly not near base Wendy. If she was Third Origin Chelia wouldn't have been sent flying from a full powered Dimaria Attack while Base Wendy easily blocked it.

If he was facing off against Lucy the only people he could Summon would be Layla, Jackal and Jude. Layla is no threat to Lucy. She has no keys and no power outside of her keys. Same with Jude. Lucy is smart enough to know they are dead and easily defeat them.

3. This brings me to my third point with Jackal. Lucy clearly defeated Jackal in the Tartarous arc last time I checked.

Layla and Jude would be a given but also they are pretty much useless in battle. I agree on this point.

Jackal would be brought back as Lucy's last huge opponent that died.

Neinhart could also bring back Vivaldus who Juvia and Lucy teamed up against that died in ToH.

Lucy also fought Torfusa even if she didn't defeat him. Hades too even tho Laxus given that historia battle.

Also Jose had his magic stolen from him in the anime but didn't Makarov kill him in the manga? Potentially him. Did Franmath die? He would absorb her spirits.

Base Lucy could low diff Jackal, Torfusa, Vivaldus, and maybe Jose due to her star dresses and better MP now but mentally struggle with Layla and Jude. Mid struggle against Franmath (because she could not use magic against him).

But don't think she could handle Hades while dodging Neinhart's casual blasts and any other historia at same time. She would need CSK to keep one busy while she fought the other.

Potential Zoledo too since her, Cana, and Gray fought Caprico before Loke did on Tenrou.


....Although if Zoledo came back...... I would want Brandish to Insta-kill Neinhart instead of Lucy. That would give me more pleasure then watching Irene's douchebag husband get stomped by her.

Neinhart is underrated.

He was the one who went out before Lucy but I would have put him a bit higher while using that position for Ajeel.

Cuz I think DF Wendy would have floored Ajeel and base Lucy without CSK could have high diff him. And she has CSK in this ranking. Meaning Lolstomp him.

And whatever rank Ajeel is, that's what I would put Neinhart.

Hope the next person who is out is Ajeel who's best feat is surviving Natsu's punch.

So help me if Mira is out before Ajeel.

As for TO Chelia, that's all of Chelia's potential at one time. While Wendy could still get stronger in the future.I think that TO Chelia should be pretty high even tho her battle against Dimaria was riddled with inconsistencies. Plus Dimaria herself is pretty high and she broke DF Wendy's legs and her magic is some of the best.

Hades was the strongest mage pre-x791 by far IMO, but unfortunately that doesn't gain him much in a rate with characters from the Alvarez arc. However, this makes the fact that he's in 22nd all the more impressive. A magical genius, Precht has mastered multiple magics and has a vast amount of Magic Power, coming from his decades of experience and research. Despite all of his strength, Hades was eventually killed by Zeref, furious that Hades and Grimoire Heart had brought more conflict into the world and had attracted Acnologia. Still, this doesn't make him any less powerful, and as he was the runner up in the Dark Mages Rate, we all know he's powerful.

Chain Magic

To be honest, I love this magic due to it's simplicity. There's no big explosion, no terrifying hax, it's just the pure physical strength of the caster being used to dominate the opponent. However, Hades can employ it in a fairly tactical manner, using it to hurl bits of debris at his enemies. My favourite use of this magic was against Makarov, Hades effortlessly chucking around Titan Makarov was awesome and really demonstrated just how powerful he was.

I'm sure some people are surprised about this, Hades vs Team Natsu is universally loved, and for good reason. It was the first and only time we got to see all of Team Natsu fight together, and it was the only time they were completely overwhelmed and almost lost. However, I prefer Makarov vs Hades for a couple of reasons, the first of which is the history between Makarov and Hades. When Makarov realized who Hades was, you really felt the confusion and betrayal, and it was heartrendingly clear that Makarov wanted to avoid battle with his former mentor at all costs. Another reason I prefer it is because it's the battle that really established just how powerful Hades is, as up until this fight Makarov had pretty much been untouchable, with him flat out low-diffing a fellow Wizard Saint. The final reason I loved this fight was the sense of despair it gave the rest of the arc, it really poised the question of: if the Guild Master of Grimoire Heart can beat the Guild Master of Fairy Tail so easily, what hope do the regular FT guild members have against the Seven Kin? For me, it was one of the only times Fairy Tail actually seemed in real danger of defeat, and this fight set the tone perfectly.
