As far I know, Netflix only buys display rights and places it as "Netflix Original."
An example of this is Nanatsu no Taizai.
Baki-dou will be distributed on Netflix in 2018, while it will be released on Japanese TV this year as far as I know.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Yes its impressive how people don't see obvious editorial pushing after Black Clover got two consecutive cover pages and was ranked 1# for three weeks straight last year and now its being outsold by Neverland a series that just began publication not too long ago.

Are you saying that Jump editors are members of the "VENERATE VETERANS" sect? XD
Maybe there is a bit of a push, but I think given its sales Dr. Stone would still be more or less on the middle of the TOC if the editors let it completely alone.

Not only that, Boichi didn't expect us to peep that her eye color was a bronze-yellowish color in one of the color spreads, one chapter after the manga stated she was a "blue-eyed Japanese girl" and conveniently her eye color changed. Her face looks weird here probably cause of the angle I would guess

It kinda occurred to me that Black Clover's art style doesn't really mesh well with the type of story its trying to tell. The color palette the anime uses consists of dark and muted colors which would not be out of place in a more "low fantasy" type of setting compared to the more colorful "Fairy Tail-esque" tone the series is going for. The art combined with Black Clover's rather threadbare story gives me a distinct feeling of dissonance. Like something inherently feels out of place.

Not from a narrative perspective like Madoka Magica. Where the cutesy artsyle deliberately constrasts with the darker plot.

But the feeling that someone on the design team got a different memo on what tone they were supposed to go for.

I don't care if it's editorial pushing or anything you're talking about, i said it's impressive because it's a new manga and it does very well at rankings for the latest weeks.

I was wondering why Jun Ogino's new series is going to be on Jump+, looks like we know why now. He just announced it's going to be 31 pages a week.

Jun Ogino is the manga of Gamma? I heard of him because they've licensed that manga in my country but I don't see another manga of his in MAL.

He did Gamma, yeah. It's probably my favorite series so I've been waiting for him to start a new one for a while.
He's written a bunch of oneshots since then but this is his first new series, annoyingly enough it's a serialization of the only oneshot he did that I didn't like.

May I ask which is the name of that oneshot? I'm a little bit lost with the Jump+ series. And thanks for the answer.

So in the next issue we'll have RxL in the cover, #42 will have WNL or one of the series that will have an anime airing next season imo, or maybe they leave that ones for October.

Toumei Ningen no Hone. The oneshot was in Young Jump last year and the series starts on the 26th.
I have a bunch of his other oneshots scanned, meant to translate them months ago but effort.
