If i am not mistaken, there are 22 cards and, coincidently, we have 22 players.Let me ask this of TG fans...are there many tarot cards or do you believe there is a small pool of different kinds of cards?
Like could multiple peole have an emperor card or are there enough card for everyone to have something different?

Aaah....okIf i am not mistaken, there are 22 cards and, coincidently, we have 22 players.
While there have been characters that have had more association with one card, like @Organizized ´s character and the Devil card, and the whole Fool´s journey of @Brandish , I think that pretty much all of our characters have had at least 2 cards associated wit them.
Gonna go and take a look to see if there is any compilation of this in some wikia
I see this as something too subjective for a trigger, imo. I'm expecting things that are binary: it either happen or it didn't, no discussions. Like what you mentioned about abilities being used.So from this, we could say that you have to use your authority, preventing things from escalating into simple bandwagons of little to no argumentation.
At least that is what I´d guess.

I don´t understand, do you mean in-universe?
Yes ser...While I have not found any associations of my card and my character in the manga (could juts be the size on the TG fandom), I do have to say that I find it´s meaning and the way my character was portrayed in TG do aling, just as just Farfallas (IE the cards were assigned based on WYIS/Vandred interpration of the character arc, not necessarily in-history assoacition). Tho this being 2/22, it could just be coincidence.
Will keep a compilation of the revelead cards, gonna go backtrack to see who else revelead theirs.

Gotcha there demonI see this as something too subjective for a trigger, imo. I'm expecting things that are binary: it either happen or it didn't, no discussions. Like what you mentioned about abilities being used.
And considering that up until now only me (The Emperor), Gry (The Star) and Demon (The Hanged Man) revealed our cards, if they are related to our roles/abilities, as Greg said, things won't look so good for Demon, LOL.

Yeah, I also thought the Cards could be related to the chars we got instead, randomized along with them. But then I'd expect to be The Empress, instead of The Emperor (unless Eto is a trap, who knows nowadays).I do have to say that I find it´s meaning and the way my character was portrayed in TG do aling, just as just Farfallas (IE the cards were assigned based on WYIS/Vandred interpration of the character arc, not necessarily in-history assoacition).
Omg. You just did not. How dare you to say that about her! D: Would you never talk like that about Eto?! Thank you very much.Yeah, I also thought the Cards could be related to the chars we got instead, randomized along with them. It seems that we got our cards randomly. The hand of fate has dealt you the card of Justice!
Everyone has their own tarot card, so there's certainly no duplicates. There's also enough cards for 20 players for everyone to have their own one.At the beginning of the game, all players shall receive their own Tarot Card.
Your actions in this game will change your "Karma" status, idk some numeric value or even a simple binary on-off thing. Each Tarot has an Upright and a Reverse effect which get triggered by the player performing or being subject to certain actions. The effect that you receive will depend on your Karma. If you hinder your team, you will receive a Reverse Effect punishment, and likewise if you help your team through your actions, you will receive the Upright Effect reward.
So basically you're given something good. Whether it's in combination with your role hard to say, but for many I think it would have some synergy. The Upright Effect can be considered as a positive karma buff that rewards you, the player, with Role Changes or Temporary Roles, additional votes, increased success changes etc.
I take it your role actions have a 50% accuracy or something when in reverse, to be an easy cointoss. It can also fully block you. Random redirecting could be in the "etc." part as well, but it seems to mostly only be about affecting your role actions, whereas upright effects can vary a lot more. The Reverse Effect is a negative karma debuff that punishes you with decreases in the chance of Night/Day Actions being successfully pulled off, rendering you incapable of performing a Night Action etc.
This could give us more hints to how it works. Your card apparently can be both upright and reverse, even though that doesn't make much sense. That means this system shouldn't be understood as having 1 card, and depending if that card is upright or reverse you get that effect. No, if you get the requirements you "unlock" the effect of upright/reverse for the next day/night. And that keeps repeating or something.Every player can unlock both effects, even on the same Day or Night Phase. The activation condition for the effects of some Tarots are mutually exclusive, but if they're not and you unlock both, they will work at the same time.
You are usually notified of when you get upright/reverse effects, but not what the effect is. Not sure how good the system is strategy-wise since it seems like there's little way to make use of it, but let's see how it developts. The clue could be a good thing, IF you get one. With a few exceptions, you will be informed of a Tarot Effect's activation at the end of Day Phases, but not necessarily about what the effect is. You may also be given a clue as to what the effect is.
-Unlike townies, mafias somehow find out if they have upright/reverse effect and what their effect is. Not sure why mafia needs buffs like this. Perhaps because the "helping/hindering your team" thing doesn't work as well for mafias as it does for townies, so they have a bit different things. They could even have some special roles locked to upright/reverse effects. As the saying goes, "Karma is a bitch", and as a result you don't actually know the conditions for gaining these Effects, even after you have received them. The Scum have their own ways of finding this information and learn what they received from a Card Effect and why, but only after having unlocked it.
This one needs no analyzing. Just read this and act accordingly. In some cases, you don't learn the effect of a Tarot's activation either, including Role Changes. In short, you need to be very careful if you unlock a Reverse Effect, think about your actions, and try to understand when it all went wrong.
Yep, this fits my theory of it being association based on opinion. Tho still, 4/22 is still too small of a pool:I see this as something too subjective for a trigger, imo. I'm expecting things that are binary: it either happen or it didn't, no discussions. Like what you mentioned about abilities being used.

Idk if you just revealed your card, but just in case, it's forbidden to share hosts PMs, Monkey. The cards probably have nothing much to do with the characters we got because in my PM it said
It seems that we got our cards randomly.
They serve mostly as foreshadowing certain events or as a way to show how the characters are truly feeling, and are somewhat sublte, like some splash of blood or tears.Yes ser...
What effect do they do in TG
