I don't think you can make such a statement, and you better shouldn't, at least not this early in the game. People already pointed out a possible second mafia, but even if there's only one mafia group, voting for Spriggan or against him doesn't prove anything. I mean a mafia member could think both ways, join the easy bandwagon to make themselves look innocent, or to vote for someone else to protect him. Both have risks, but it's not the first time that a mafia joined a bandwagon killing one of their comrades, because it potentially gives them a high amount of trust among the townies. I've seen mafia members surviving for a very long time because people stopped questioning them, simply because they voted for a fellow mafia member. To me neither side would be safe from suspicion, at least not this early on.!votekill Emperor Spriggan
I quoted his post and asked, he liked it, but he never said anything. I'm assuming it's a mafia that gave up. I was waiting to see if anyone would try to save him, which these recent votekills may just be...
Wish he gave me a response, but as things stands he's the only suspect I have(other than EmptySoul who also did the same follow-up vote thing but without such a weird give-up post).
In case Spriggan dies today and shows mafia, those who voted on someone else in these last hours are probably mafias who tried saving him.
You know I always love people sharing hints as early as possible. So I'll go ahead and say things about me. I feel like I'm getting memed by the hosts with this role, it isn't gonna be very useful and I will very likely kill myself with it sooner or later. I'm hoping for later, but you never know.
I'm mostly saying this for newbies, because those tend to be easily influenced. No one can prove his innocence, no matter if they voted for Spriggan or not. It's just too early to tell, and simply giving people the benefit of the doubt bc of a single vote won't help the townies in the long run. If we go by what's likely, there's at least one mafia member voting for Spriggan, and there's likely another one among the people who voted for someone else. It's a given that at least one pretty inactive person is a mafia member too, going by my experience that has always been the case. I think you're a rather experienced player, so I'm kinda surprised you're jumping the horse that easily. Weren't you the first one to point out that Emperor is suspicious? Now that would basically make you the most trustable, going by your logic.
And that is... potentially a pretty great mafia move. Because you already know he's going to turn out as mafia, and just like that a huge group of people would trust you.
Just some food for thought though, at this stage there's just no way to accurately judge anyone for sure, at least as long as no major fuckups happen.
I agree that Emperor seems quite fishy, so maybe he will get my vote as well.
That or someone really inactive, because that group always annoys me. If you sign up for this game, you have to be able to put in at least SOME time, otherwise you're simply ruining the game for others, or are making things way more difficult. Inactive people who barely keep the minimum activity usually are the most annoying, because there's hardly anything suspicious to point out besides being inactive... and that is an annoyance for both the mafia and the townies, but especially for the townies, because it makes figuring out potential mafia way harder.
Anyway, I think I will give the thread another short look
It's been a long day at work but if I sign up I'm going to give this my best shot, so I'm not voting for anyone that easily.
