I know but the series its mostly focus around them and other characters which I don't mind but like i said gajeel, levy, lily and juvia felt more like minor characters I mean in the previous film gajeel and juvia play even bigger parts

Gajeel and Levys appereance was kind of uneeded since they they did nothing at all beside fighting fodder soldiers. Which makes me wonder if they were even included in Mashimas script or added by the movie director to pull gajevy shippers in. We know Juvia was included in Mashimas script at least.

Those scenes were cool, my issues are about things feeling rushed like Acnologia's backstory and Sonya/Animus dynamic. Already said about Acnologia but on the other it was made clear Animus did the same dragon technique Igneel and the other parent dragons did to Sonya in order to survive and then he needed the staff to regain his full strength. But I mean the scene when Sonya was checking out the staff did Animus manipulate her mind to have a physical human form or what...? Sonya was a child in the flashback but how is she like Lucy's age? I read that her and Animus traveled to Stella and obviously took control of the country but the gap in between is hazy as hell. Also the battles, Erza vs. Swan and Natsu going END against Animus were the only ones I liked alot. Gray and Juvia's fight was deff the weakest one cause their opponent was corny and it was overall a joke fight. Wendy and Carla used their brain for theirs which was cool but their opponent was even worse lol. Those two were the movie only characters that sucked, I liked the others.

Also I'm just realizing Zirconis was in the flashback, lol Acnologia dusted his ass.

The pacing in this movie is beyond horrible, when Natsu and the others were captured and then suddenly in the next scene everybody was with Natsu, with no explanation, I was like: "...What the hell!? I missed a scene or something?"
Everything in this movie is way too fast, the plot, the drama, the action, the plot twists,etc. This feels like an entire arc summarized in a hour and a half movie, even for Fairy Tail standars all the things that happens in this movie are rushed and poorly made, like I said before, the only elements of this movie that had any resembling of effort is the animation.

Heck, this movie even commeted the exact same mistakes of the first movie, the boring characters, the boring villans with uninteresting powers, the "drama" that does not have any weight behind because we barely know this people, the poor use of secundary characters (seriously, why Gajeel and Lily never do nothing in this movies? what is the point of having those characters there if they will be useless?).

I mean, I don't understand why some people said that "this is a great movie!" or "this movie was beautiful!", this is like a bad filler arc, but with a good animation (that sadly is wasted in this), everything else is just bad.

YO! I thought the same thing! Natsu just met up with Erza and them to save Lucy, we didn't even see how the others got out. I speak for myself but I was engaged enough in the new characters and the highlight fights were great. So I enjoyed it but like you said it felt like a filler arc instead of a condensed plot, so I see where you're coming from. I'm really starting to get a vibe they'll do what DBS did and just add it in the anime, if they do so much more shit can be explained.

The problem I find with the second movie is the reuse of stuff we have already seen which made the flow jumpy. Like certain scenes were needing to be shown instead of actually telling a logical story.

The only new thing was Happy finally got a battle of his own (against a dog). Lmfao.

It seemed like it tried to go back to the early mission format like Sun Village arc but then it was too much like Alvarez. I think I would have perfected the story expanded into a mini arc or even a larger prequel arc to Alvarez, setting up Acnologia and maybe Irene to be more present.

Then when Happy and Charla we’re rescuinf Lucy from te Edolas Palace

When Sonya had her whole “I am you” with the king, then poof a dragon pops out. I was like “Irene?” When the whole first part of the movie I thought she was a cross between Eclair and Yukino.

I can do this with the whole movie.

Now it’s not necessarily bad to reuse things if you improve hem.

Take his moment of Natsu showing Lucy the pretty bites. It’s basically a better version of cherry blossum where Natsu is present this time. But he gives the cherry tree when she’s sick and he showed her this when she was feeling bad. Which is ok cuz it’s one of the best parts of the movie.

Mashima. Rehashing his shit since 2006.

The 100 Year quest reminds me of when they went on this quest and Juvia was left out same with Gale.

Already from the beginning of the film, we do not see them arrived on the island that the scene after that is that of the bar.

Or, they know everything, where the treasure is, where the key is, which has the key, that zach often comes to this bar.

I wanted to see a micro scene where we see them looking for intelligence and visited the country.

When Natsu comes out of his prison, direct or is lucy, we do not see Natsu found the others.

Same for the counterattack, it seems to be in the morning / or at noon, and the scene after that is dusk / evening.

They did what during all this time, that run while they were next to the city / palace.

So that's why, I hope that the film will be adapted to animated and that they will add scene.

Also I checked the script book, Gajeel and Levy were drawn in there so it wasn't the anime team feeding the fans. Those two, Lucy, and Juvia (who was mostly comedy) barely did much but Juvia contributed to a fight and Lucy and Gajeel fought the fodder Dragon Slayer army.

Getting knocked out just to give Grey a power up (again!) is not exactly "contribute to a fight"

Juvia,Gajeel and Levy are just filler in this movie, I just don´t know why they keep puting Gajeel in this movies if he will be useless, the same thing happened in the first movie.
All that wasted time with Juvia's stupid moments could have been used in other importat things, like givin this villans an actual personality or at least make some cool fights.

I find it funny too that Gajeel and Wendy did switch roles in the two movies and kind of the series. Well I find that Wendy took more of Juvia/Mirajane's role as the story progressed since as of FF, Juvia was considered the third main female of the series while Mira was the humble female with the kickass alternate form. As the story moved, Wendy became the third main female and later she got Dragon Force plus she even in the last arc had to fight Erza (while Mira was always considered to be Erza's rival).

Charla, Erza, Juvia, and Wendy kind of felt like that too. Gajeel, Levy, and Lily felt like random hobo's on the side of the street tbh. The only thing that kept Gray from being pushed to the side is he had a role a bit at the beginning with Lucy in the bar, and later defending her against Natsu, and then his interaction with Juvia beyond his main fight.

I think everyone who had a battle was prominent... Lucy in the movie: got captured, saved the prisoners, used 3 star dresses, and fought fodder so hard to say she did anything crazy important. Lucy and Sonya being damsels while Gajeel not getting a battle are some fair criticisms, although Sonya had useful magic that showed in some areas and in her way of talking.
