I don't really know anything about Otae, but perhaps the new survival series will fill the void being left by its loss. So far, the predictions @Ihore made for likely candidates to leave in 2018 are 2 for 2. Looks like Shutsujin, Great Old, and Gmen can rest a little easier for a bit until more new series are announced

Iruma is resembling Shonen Racquet situation. However its sales are higher than it according to shoseki.
Even if its situation doesn't improve it will probably still only end next year unless a lot of new series survive this year which is possible but on paper is unlikely to happen.

How is the third volume selling compared to the first 2? Lucky for Iruma, it has a handful of newer series that are doing worse than it, and also some older series coming to natural conclusions

So quite a few more new series in the horizon.

So Otae and Shuujin have announced when their conclusions will be, 1 just started and other starts in 2 issues, plus Dokaben is in its final arc. My guess would be either Great Old or Shutsujin getting the swift ax if their first volumes tank in sales, while Gmen escapes cancellation a little while longer. The baseball series will be starting in the latter half of February according to the author's twitter. so its likely to be Issue 13 or beyond. (Issue 12 is Pedal 10th year anniversary so its definitely not starting then)

When I mentioned anime announcement, I didn't really specify.

Obvious choice would be Harigane Service. Decent amount of content out, popular and a type of series (sports) that fits well with anime.

Ara Tatsuya is giving a lecture for the Tokyo Book Shop group on the 25/02. The rewards for the 100 chosen participants is what i found amusing because i wouldn't usually report this stuff cause its not important.
Everyone will get volume 1 as a present and there will a be lottery and 10 winners will get all volumes published so far. For an event that i assume is aimed at fans of the series, the presents chosen don't make much sense.

Possible choice - The Vampire dies in no time. Not as much volumes as HS but that's because it is a shorter series page but it is reasonably popular. Could also be a short anime (3 min, 12min... etc)

Unlikely Choice - anything else.

BEASTARS volume 6 got a reprint.

I'd love to see The Vampire Dies in No Time get an anime adaptation. The visual gags and comedy would translate well into an animated format if given to the proper studio. Champion has a lot of promising newer series (Beastars, Rokudou, Atsumare, Iruma, Rororro), but it still seems too soon for them to get adapted. Beastars and Rokudou maybe in about a year could be prime candidates.

It looks like the little armadillo from The Vampire Dies in No Time has a little one-page miniseries (if this can even be called that) that gets released online. They mostly seem like a compilation of silly sketches, but they're cute nonetheless.

The armadillo John actually will appear soon in the translated chapters.

Really hope it will get only more popular this year.
