Uhm, no actually. It's actually completely deniable. You've not stated a single thing yet to prove your case. After the end of Naruto many people have been looking for a manga to remember it and the choice happened on MHA by chance because it had a lot of similarities (it's undeniable).
There is nothing wrong with admitting it ...
Give me specifics mate. Tell me what was similar in Naruto. Show me how the japanese readers were looking for a manga and happened onto MHA because of the similarities. Show me japanese articles or even japanese forum posts that state the readers find it similar and found MHA as the replacement.
If you can't and like I said, you definitely cannot, you'll still just be talking about what you THINK happened without providing even a shred of concrete evidence. So basically it's your OPINION without any facts. *shrugs*
So, just a FYI. MHA came out in 07/2014. Kishimoto said this in 07/2017 (3 years later), you know when the 2nd season was going on already and the manga had already attained more than 90% of it's current peak.
So yeah, this is a very poor argument.
And merchandising will do what? If the anime's popularity isn't that big to start with, the merchandises would not sell very much anyway. The anime is what decides how much merchandise will sell. If anime is popular, merchandise will sell. If anime is just average in popularity, merchandise would sell average numbers. So I do not explain then the merchandising they are building on if, as you say, there is no chance that sells more and will be dropped in a year or two ....
That's why Toriko's merchandise sold a lot because its anime always got good ratings on TV.
So, unless its a kiddie show where fluffy plush dolls will helps kids like the anime more, the merchandise cannot directly affect the popularity of a series. The anime will remain the main means of growth for most series, especially in the battle genre.
Lol what!How long? A week ?
Please, before the manga did not care anyone, if it had not been for the advertising of Jump and Kishimoto itself would have been a manga of two volumes or a little more ....

Yeah, you're right. No one cared. ABSOLUTELY TRUE!
Aside from first volume selling 140k before Naruto ended (which is a big number for a new series, something BC didn't achieve until multiple volumes later, something Kimetsu, Dr. Stone, RxL, WNL, HZ have still not achieved) and the great ranks it got (if I'm not mistaken, it was in the top 2-3, 95% of the time in the first 2 years). So yeah, aside from the TWO MOST IMPORTANT CRITERIA in which new series have to define how popular they are (sales and ranks), no one noticed it at all.

Even you must know how stupid that sounded. I hope so, at the very least.
