Well, to be fair, Black Clover was really trying to copy every trope possible, that's why it is not respected even now.

I personally hope that it gets at least one more arc that's good throughout the whole thing. Central dragged on so much for me that I stopped following the series months ago. It still sells super well, despite the declining, so I can picture it being milked for awhile longer. I just want to see the series go out on a high note.Changing the subject, is it a popular opinion here that Souma will end at the end of this arc? Why?
This is what happens when you have standards folks! You expect better rather than just accepting mediocrity.Deku yells, punches Overhaul: “kind of a bland chapter this week, didn’t care too much and I really hope my prediction doesn’t come true.”
Asta yells, punches Mars: “amazing chapter this week, seriously it was perfect and flowed amazing. Very deep undertones as well.”/Koi Kage
No issue with that bro but I saw comments from users saying people were complaining. One person complained lol.I could honestly care less about this series in general, it's just the blandest most cookie cutter rom com harem I've seen.
Be real. People like what they like, and taste is subjective. But I just don’t get how someone can follow a series religiously for over a year and never have anything good to say about it. You even said BC treats its female cast well! Like come on now lmao. People think way too hard about this stuff sometimes. This is what happens when you have standards folks! Many people did this with Fairy Tail. After 500 chapters where every arc gets worse than the previous one you just want to see the final trainwreck of an arc and how bad it can end.Be real. I almost did it with Fairy Tail, but I could not stand anymore after the tournament there where they won solely because of the power of friendship. Many people did this with Fairy Tail. I'm doing this with BC. I want to see if Tabata can top the light novel disaster in some way and how much worse the story can get in general.
Bleach? Reborn? Fairy Tail? Air Gear? Kenichi? People like what they like regardless of how much shit gets thrown at them for doing so but then again they're supporters who are also so far up their own ass to see the truth before it ends (Medaka Box, Negima, Soul Eater) so there's various types of these people and the opposite tend to be just as bad.Be real. It depends on how well it does honestly. The live action adaptations of Tokyo Ghoul and Saiki had a minor bump in sales last year and those films did pretty decent. A Strong World level boost effect would be a miracle but that movie was hyped up for a longer period and was the special 10th movie overall. If the movie does anything it'll increase sales of merchandise for the franchise. What's a realistic movie boost? Since it airs this summer shouldn't we start seeing more promotion soon?
I think the oricon ranking at the end of the year will be more or less the same as last year.Let's do something more entertaining; Make your top 10 rankings of oricon-jump 2018 (Position and sales ranges):
My estimates are (Min to max ) :
1/2 - One piece : 9.000.000 to 11.000.000
3/4 - MHA : 5.000.000 to 8.000.000 ( Boost movie )
5 - Haikyu : 4.000.000 to 6.000.000
7/8/9 - TPN : 3.000.000 to 5.000.000 ( ?)
8/9/10 - Black clover : 3.000.000 to 4.500.000
Like, every shonen since the 90's ?Well, to be fair, Black Clover was really trying to copy every trope possible, that's why it is not respected even now.![]()

From my point of view the scenes have the same impact.Deku yells, punches Overhaul: “kind of a bland chapter this week, didn’t care too much and I really hope my prediction doesn’t come true.”

I don't remember Luffy, Deku, Toriko, Tanjirou, Soma, Tsuna, Oga or Senku being orphans who can use Getsuga Tenshou and the Shadow Clone Jutsu while having a demon live inside of them/their weapons. But every shonen, amirite?Like, every shonen since the 90's ?

The thing is defending a series is blatant flaws while downplaying others is a bad thing to do. Its perfectly fine to like anything regardless of quality but don't turn a blind eye to its faults while shitting on other series when people point them out. I'm not a fan of Fairy Tail but I respect that you like it and other people do just as how I'm a fan MHA but there's people who don't like it. What Koi Kage does every week is borderline shitposting no different from the "asta" fellow who downvotes every MHA volume on amazon but fivestar every new Black Clover volume.Just make sure we on the same page, being a fanboy/fangirl of something isn’t a problem at all. But when someone blindly defends said series from facts like sales, popularity decline, authors outright admitting they wing it and make shit up on the go it’s a problem? Like that whole Neverland promotion nonsense? I’m cool with that. 100%. I saw out both Naruto and FT but I lost hella love for OP which I dropped years ago so my stance is that these type of things will probably never have a right or wrong way of following a series.
The YTAC died when Naruto ended, so i still miss the older series. I miss the drama, now they regurgitate the same One Piece content every weekI'm just so happy so many of these never-ending manga are finally finished, in pretty much every magazine. I was like: Finally, I can get into Weekly shounen magazines, because it's really hard to get into them with all of this stuff that's been running for forever and then there's the bonus stuff that had been running for 4 to 5 + years...
It's also nice to see the fanbases for the big series meltdown because their manga finished, even if it was running for years longer than it should've and then it's interesting to see where that fanbase goes or if it mostly dissolves or gives up on manga. Or the fanbases cling to the series, never let them go and constantly compare new manga to their old precious treasures that got cancelled or ended too early with 60+ volumes, because they don't care about anything else and don't know other manga exist besides their colossal incredibly influential manga, I'd never do that by the way, but I hope OP and HxH never end![]()
Personally it's just that they're too predictable. Shokugeki wise it's actually quite good, but story wise it's still terrible. And from that interview recently, it actually seems the Shokugeki part is almost entirely handled by Morisaki anyway, which doesn't say a lot about Tsukuda... Though, that problem comes from this entire arc though. They have to win or they're expelled, so it's easy to see who has to win where for the arc to reach it's proper conclusion. This wasn't the case in the past where they didn't have they're entire enrollment on the line (like Autumn Election). Hell, even at the early training camp where it was in danger, it was still made interesting with the Shokugeki with Shinomiya for example. If there was any flaw, I would spot. The shokugeki recently has been terrific, the current shokugeki featuring Isshiki has been tremendous, great story. Almost all characters are interesting and the authors do a good job at talking about them without neglecting the culinary aspect. I just don't see any reason to not love it. It is delivering what promises.
I have to agree. Even Nisekoi I found a lot more enjoyable simply because all the girls were so over-the-top eccentric and tropey. WNL is similar in that it has little romantic progress, but the characters just aren't interesting enough to do it for me. Nisekoi had all the WNL personalities, but it also had a gorilla, obsessed and insanely romantically aggressive girl, and an assassin among other things. To to mention the yakuza and mafia families. It just opened up so many more possibilities to stop it from getting stale, and even then it still got stale quickly... WNL is just very bland at this point, I shouldn't be feeling that this early on...I could honestly care less about this series in general, it's just the blandest most cookie cutter rom com harem I've seen.
