I think the only bit that felt slower in MHA first season is the fact they split the first chapter into 2 episodes.
I thought the content made heroaca feel slow, Im on my 4th rewatch and it always feels like Midoriya should have been enrolled in class way before episode 5. Condensing the first 5 episodes could have done wonders.

@ChocoBar9 As I said, maybe I'll consider watching the earlier OP anime some day, but not right now.

@Nemesis I like to look at both studios and staff. Maybe one is lackluster, but the other is more promising, maybe they balance each other out or both are straight up promising. With certain studios I feel like I have higher chances of knowing what to expect because of overall output.

And about the anime industry, it is at fault in my opinion, because of the way it is poorly run and that includes production committees.

Edit: Let's just turn this into a HxH which anime is better debate :3c
Eh, I think that production committee is fine, even more because those companies are the ones investing in these anime in different aspects or when a studio like Toei, Pierrot, A-1, Production IG, Sunrise or any other that are in these almost all the time. Of course, it can and need to be better but the model I think is reasonable considering the funding and everything related and how it's similar to what happen in other industries.

But going in another direction, what would be your idea for those productions without the committee? Who would fund those anime and do what those companies do? Also, without even acknowledging copyright and trademark involved between those companies and adaptations and many other aspects of these productions. There's so much things involved that I'm curious.

I feel like they could do perfect pacing for HZ with three cours, though not gonna hold my breath for much anymore. Just the fact it got an anime is a miracle, so I’m not gonna be too picky about it.

I agree on that except 1st season of MHA. Pacing was too slow.
Except its literally the same as season two apart from the first two episodes covering the first chapter. 21 chapters in 13 eps, take into account the first two eps did one chapter at around 25pg/ep pacing vs the usual 36\ep for the series, then extra pages here and there in the series early life and it equates to about 21 chapters worth of pages in 11 episodes, almost exactly 2 per ep just like the 2nd season. The manga itself is what is slow, not saying they shouldn’t have fixed it though.

Maybe one day I'll give the OP anime another try, at least the earlier parts, but for now I'm fine with manga. I got into OP through the manga and I just adore it so much I'd rather re-read parts of it. I probably got into it much later than you, the thing is, most manga tend to age well but the same can't be said about the anime, it's not like I dislike older anime, I love a lot of older shows, but I guess they need to meet certain requirements for me to justify watching them, especially when there are so many things that I want to watch and read. A lot of times I consider my options, like, is it worth watching the anime when the manga offers a much better experience?
I do feel a bit sorry for anyone who hasn’t at least watched early OP. As good as the manga is, its just not the same experience, and I dont think I would have ever come to love the series as much as I do if I just read it. Just two weeks ago I watched the One Pace version of Dressrossa and Zou after stalling the anime for like three years and seriously considering dropping it, but I freaking adored it. Even if it’s production is a mess nowadays, with the pacing fixed it’s still very enjoyable simply for the stylistic choices they make, OST and VAing. Really can’t stress enough that it’s worth watching until around Enies Lobby.

Interestingly enough, the One Pace guys have a chart that records pacing stats for the series which makes it obvious where everything started to fall apart. They almost cut the Zou arc down to 1/3 the runtime lol.

Early parts of OP were great. Post-TS is a mix bag for me but I do love how Toei is handling WCI.

Speaking of Toei, their precure show looks incredible

Why all their best talents on that show anyway?

Finished reading Jump and took the opportunity to vote for Ashumi-senpai on "We Never Learn" popularity poll. She doesn't have a chance of winning, she is unappreciated, but I contributed anyway. The only one that doesn't have a too bland personality.

In this case, this Precure is a movie but yeah, Precure is something really creative and inventive in it's animation.

None of them have a bland personality at all. They're full of it tbh.

Pretty much this, right now we´ve got no other choice but see if Gonzo can prove us wrong (even if a tiny bit)

REgarding The visual... it loooks ok-ish... still we need a PV to get a look at how the animation will be like

that moment when you realise the anime is really2 soon
Any word on the studio for this one?

That looks pretty good!
The anime will air on Animax and BS Sky Perfect TV.
Face looks quite different from the source, but I'm fine with this. Now to see how it will translate to animation...
