I agree Zekiel.

Whenever he writes a light hearted series,his quality falls compared to his darker ones,i want to forget Alvarez arc(probably the worst one in FT).

But Tartaros or TOH,i loved it along with Tenrou.

Honestly Ankhseram would have atleast been implied to exist before hand. Had a massive and notable role in the story before appearing and was hatefull enough to justify appearing and distracting from Zeref and acnologia.

Hence I am leaning more towards lighthearted next generation stuff (because he knows HIS FANS want it), or/and what happened to the Aquarius key since he mentioned in at NYCC 2017.

The 100 year quest was to give a nostalgic factor to the end of the series with Team Natsu heading out on an adventure. That's all. Many fans would not be interested in this as a spin off, as there are other characters fans want to see. He would be foolish to draw only team natsu and exclude the rest of the guild.

Anyway more accurate translations:

Well Mashima can start the sequel with Team Natsu returning from the 100 Year Quest showing that they succeed and even he doesn’t know what the 100 Year Quest is he can still think of a reason for what it is. Also even if he draw them they weren’t seen before the series ended since for a new generation series to happen the kids must be seen before the series ended and these kids were draw after the series ended.
