Sorry to keep bugging you gary....but whats your opinion on this one?

That looks like a Core i5-2520M, which is a second-gen processor, not a 4th gen one, like I mentioned before.

It'll run LoL and some less graphically intensive stuff perhaps, but not much else. It'd either struggle or fail to run what your son plays, for example.

Gaming - the processor is decent being an i5 but graphics wise - looks like its integrated.
I'd pick one with a non integrated which tends to cost a tad more.
Might play some games but for current level ones, prolly not.

As far as laptops go, that's a tough thing to do. It'll either have a mobile gpu that isn't far and away better than whatever integrated graphics the processor has... OR, it'll be way way outside gnut's budget perhaps (unless he can get lucky with a used/refurbished one, perhaps).

It's an i7 instead of an i5, so the processor is "better" (more cores, faster clock speed), but its integrated graphics are the same as the one you linked before, Intel HD 3000; They're both second gen processors, so the integrated graphics are the same.

Depends on what you want to play. Integrated graphics are much better now than they were before, but we're talking 6th-8th gen there. If you want to game seriously and not be hampered by your specs at all, yeah, you need a dedicated GPU. Laptops aren't ideal for gaming anyways, they run hotter, which means performance is throttled so you don't burn a hole through your desk. There are "gaming" laptops that can approach the performance of desktop PCs, but they're much more expensive.

Well i could ask him that...but he did say one of the laptops i showed you has a better processir than his desktop.

This was the laptop i bought back in 2012 or 2013...it took a shit on me 3yrs ago tho.
But i used to play league with no problems....EUW,ASIA,BRA,USA.
Just curious why i need more than this now?

It was a $400 laptop and the motherboard wouldve cost me almost $300....naaaah.
