I certainly wasn’t expecting it this soon, but I do hope the series does actually end here. No point exploring Blue or international or whatever with this level of writing. Though I doubt it will end. Can’t imagine it would be cancelled just yet given Jump’s current state, and Tsukuda isn’t a good enough writer to be able to end the series so assertively either.

After that interview a few months ago that showed how large of a role Morisaki played in how the story progressed, and them joking that Tsukuda should be listed as the advisor instead, I’ve realised that Dr Stone is pretty much the same thing. Both series with aspects that require specialist knowledge which is their main selling point and somewhat guides the series, yet when it comes to the story telling and parts that the actual author is in charge of, they fall flat. This was evident with Stone early on, hence the heavy shift to the more sciency aspects. At least Soma had a decent start and better characters. But there’s been practically no story telling in Stone since, which is kinda funny because it pretty much means that the fans want as little of Inagaki’s influence as possible... Weird seeing such a shift since I’ve heard ES was quite strong in that aspect. But it’s also interesting to see that more series seem to be taking this direction lately.
You've pretty much hit the nail on the head, Soma really shouldn't have lasted as long as it has to this point because what essentially had been pulling the series a long at that point was its formulaic structure but introducing a character like Azami and invalidating most of the cast made things move off track so now that its over it feels like nothing really matters anymore because there's no investment to anything. Soma "surpassed" his father and Erina defeated Azami so where do we go from here that wouldn't feel like overzealous filler? Stone was just flat out not planned well and essentially had to reboot itself 3 volumes in but even then the series doesn't really seem interesting in developing its cast or setting but rather just be educational which leads me to believe that it won't last long after the eventual anime airs.

viz released it early or something?
It's actually always uploaded a little early. There's a special url they use (I forget what it was) when the issue (or chapter or volume) has a placeholder page. It's not readable but everything else works so back last year when we knew we were getting new series people would actually use that to figure out which ones because the author's are all listed.

But stone science and education parts are getting weird lately. :cookiefinger:emocat

The conflict within the manga is another example it won’t last that long anyways, unless there is a defect within the other side

My problem with Dr. Stone is that I find the writing very shallow. All the scientific discoveries would be better if they had some build up. But they have not, because the author doesn't care about development, his only interest is the hype. So it seems I'm reading a festival of asspulls. Boichi is, in my opinion, what sustains the manga.

Do we know that Inagaki has help like Tsukuda has from Morisaki? I thought that he just searched about this. Didn't know about a cooperation with a specialist

Dr. Stone is fine for me when its just focusing on being a comedic educational manga. Whenever it starts doing the Kingdom of Science vs Tsukasa stuff is when it starts going sour. If the author wanted a main plot, he should've just had the characters slowly uncover the mystery as to why everyone turned to stone in the first place. I dont think anyone has even asked that question yet.

Interesting how from 80s is mainly Kinnikuman, and then we got the Big 3 spokon of this century (Prince of Tennis, Kuroko no Basket, Haikyuu).

I hope there are more title statues, not only these ones.

PD: Just discovered Dragon Ball Super Ultra Instict happened first in Prince of Tennis.

That would require actually thinking of a reason which with how poorly the story seems to have been planned so far I'm about 50/50 split if the reason actually exists or not.

Go to JPN and play the crane game machines and use your skill and luck to select the one you want.

(look for resellers on various auction sights)

Act-tage 17
Seems pro actress prodigy girl is pissed with MC after epic sad actuation of both of them. Can't tell because for some reason nobody wants to scanlate this so we'll be stuck forever in chapter 5
With Soma quite possibly being on the way out along with Ziga, I'd say Act-Age, Noah's Notes and Jujutsu can probably squeak by for a little while longer. The last few chapters of Act-Age have been pretty interesting. I'm thinking it'll survive 4 volumes minimum. I'm guessing WSJ is trying to see if Act-Age can experience the "Runway-effect" where a very atypical shonen premise can suddenly grow with critical acclaim.
English Shonen Jump cover
This series looks really cute. Did this issue have the final chapter of Lycopene, or is it still going to continue?
Noah's Notes 10

They are in a ship, violent is too storm, ship gets destroyed, but Noah prepared an air ballon inside the ship. Meanwhile a submarine appears and 3 templars appear

This new arc was being pretty boring. Finally things are going to be interesting again.
I've been thinking the last few chapters have done a nice job building up some new side characters and advancing the plot/PLOT. I'm hoping it can move up a few spots in the TOC and get closer towards the middle zone.
