They'll announce a climax usually a chapter before the ending.
Not every series is Bleach and Naruto.
We didn't get weeks in advance for Beelzebub, Reborn!, Sesuji, countless other series that had a short final epilogue arc.

The anime isnt doing well at all so this could be SnS's final season and what's bothering me is that fans are delusional enough to think the series can last another 100-200+ chapters just because it's still in the top selling rankings, as if they never learned anything from Bleach, Reborn, Toriko, etc.

I still believe it'll end some time in 2019 especially if other new titles start to sell well like Kimetsu with their anime release. It wouldn't shock me if it's going to start rushing really hard than it already is during the end of the year or something.

Risa Taneda is back so they'd probably just go back to her. They probably just wanted Erina's voice to be consistent through S3. She reprises her role in the new DxD season and is in Katana Maidens.

Baloon is destroyed by a ''beam'' but Noah, Gyaru, and the paleontologist end in the proposed ruins (a deserted island with skyscrappers in the top). Gyaru clothes are wet so she's now in her bikinis. They find a cute dog, meanwhile one of the 3 templars is preparing to fight them. It seems he controls 6 mecha hands

I've really been enjoying the interactions between the MC in Act-Age and the other actors in the movie she's appearing in. You can still tell she has a bit of a screw loose, but her interactions with the others around her age are all pretty funny. Like in the most recent chapter, she sees a pillow fight going on between 2 of the guys, and tries to join in by throwing a pillow at full-force from close range at one guy's crotch lol. Her rivalry with the blonde prodigy is also pretty refreshing to see. They both appear to have similar methods for acting, but the blonde girl seems like more a a functional human being. The art, especially the backgrounds, seem to be improving as well, which is nice to see. Her short in Giga was cute as well.

Noah's Notes seems like it's introducing quite a few interesting allies and villains lately. This new guy's note seems really interesting. Hopefully it'll get to stick around so we can see some more cool tech, gyaru antics, time loop archaeology.

Not to forget Kuroko No Basket which was far more popular than Soma ever was and at its peak sales when it ended. People didn't know it was ending until they saw the final CP.

What's the point of the anime if the sales are dropping? I don't recall SnS having merch sales to brag about either. Do you think a season 4 will happen?

I feel like a final chapter countdown is more of a writer's choice kind of thing. Didn't Dragonball back in the day just end suddenly without warning? It's probably up to the creator whether they want people to know it's ending and how far ahead.

Plus if a writer is always working to the last minute and never gets ahead on chapters or storyboards, they might not know how long the series has left exactly until they've finished drawing the finale the week before it ends (since ideas can easily last longer or shorter than planned once they're actually on paper).

Heck, maybe that's why Bleach's countdown number was blacked out, he didn't actually know how many chapters the ending stuff would take.

I don't know whether a 4th season will happen as there have been members of the production committee drop out, namely Showgate and Dentsu, though Lantis came in instead. Even now, more goods are being made so I'd think enough were being bought to warrant more types being made. The volume sales are still at the 300k range at the end of the year. Streaming is also a big thing now as producers have stated so Soma might be getting something from there. Volume sales themselves aren't everything. That being said, I'd rather they don't as quality has really decreased.

It could hypothetically end in a few months but it just started something again.
