How does this make sense though? All you kept saying was "trust me" when asked about your role. In my opinion, and this is just me, you'd have been better off at least hinting at it before the bomb was revealed. Then when Erin was lynched it would have somewhat backed up your claim, because it does look worse that you're claiming it now that the bomb is gone.
It does, the situation is convenient but because of my actions throughout the game(not hinting) it looks worse to claim Bomb Defuser. With those circumstances in mind, it would be obvious that if I were mafia, claiming BD would make me look more suspicious, and yet I still did so because that is my actual role. If I were mafia, I'd have the liberty of claiming something else since I hadn't hinted anything and only approved the slip up hint that James gave.

And honestly you saying you wouldn't claim because its a popular mafia claim just makes the situation ridiculous. Even vague hinting like what Holt did by saying he works with his hands would have been something. I would have understood if you were actually worried about the mafia killing you before you could find Erin. You're accusing Battou of doing the same thing you did by making your role seem super important that you couldn't even hint at it.
That is an assumption that you and James made. I never said my role is important. I said this a day phase ago, but I never planned on hinting, I said I would only outright reveal. If I gave a hint that alluded to BD, that would scratch one favorite mafia claim of the list and I didn't want that, I wanted someone to try and claim my role. And James managed to give a hint for me, yet no one bats an eyelid as to how he knew that.

What's ironic is that you saying doing such a thing would add more suspicion to you, which is exactly why I would do it. After all why would I make such an "obvious play" if I was mafia? Hiding in plain sight is actually a thing.
Yeah, maybe you would. Doesn't mean I would though.

This isn't a great example since in that game I advocated for killing you because I acknowledged your threat level as a very good player. Not everyone thinks as I do to eliminate potential threats right away. I only cared about the survival of my team. You weren't on my team and therefore you were expendable. And since I know what a good player you are I know how devious you can be and that's why I'm not convinced by this.
You could be telling the truth definitely. But it would be silly of us not to consider all alternatives, one of them being that you claimed a role that has a mafia counterpart.
But look at the list of Town kills so far, and look at them in order. GrySun on N1, the player who takes the initiative to get things rolling, would be very advantageous for mafia to get rid of a player who can control the DP. Lambu and gnut on N2, notice how Lambu was very active in D2 and essentially took over the DP, and they went after gnut because he too is an experienced player that would be detrimental to mafia if left alive. I even mentioned last DP how Demonspeed still being alive looking at the pattern of the kills is suspicious. And turns out he was mafia.
Look, I participated in the lynch of 2 Oranges, you'd think I would get 2 mafias killed if they were on my team, how would victory be achieved if I got rid of 2 of them.
I called out Demonspeed and his potential fabricated spy result in post #867 and turns out it was what they were going for. Why would I expose the possibility of this when there was a chance of him gaining everyone's trust as Spy had he survived? I even questioned why he was alive when veterans were getting dropped at night.
Do these smell like mafia moves to you?
Anyway, Battou and James should be our lynch today, one of them. Still have to wait on PomPom as well.
