yeah you're not wrong, although the decrease is only on physical sales, we still don't know about its digital sale.
Actually we did know a good estimate of the digital sales since they released the sales figures for both print and digital a while back. It was somewhere around 30% for RxL

Robo ending this early does put a slap to not only the PUSH campaign but also that 200k initial print run and subway advertisements it received like basically what was the point? Even if sales dropped it was still performing way above cancellation territory and an anime would have done its job so either the author planned for this or the editorial department don't really know what they're doing at this point. .

I mean, Ziga also received a PV and subway advertisements before it even started. What was the point for that?

I think the mangaka just didn't want to continue anymore. I wouldn't be saying this if he hadn't complained about how researching golf is really difficult when the manga was in its early stages. I do agree, an anime would've been more than enough at this point, even a quick 12 episode attempt would've been a decent approach. They could have moved this over to Jump+, since it has happened very recently with another series, but it didn't happen which also makes me believe that the mangaka just didn't want to work on this project any longer.

I wonder if Yuuna and HZ are in danger after their anime adaptations finish, or even before that.
I would say the same, but if their adaptations give them a significant boost, maybe not? I think their lives depend more on if/how many new series take off. We now have 7 (?) places occupied by series that started within the last 4-5 months. That's more than enough for anything that's even remotely successful to easily take root and establish itself. I'd imagine both anime would have to be complete flops for them to be in any real danger unless we get a sudden influx of new series.

too long to quote the entire thing
Issue #8 (as far as i feel like going back) Robot starts to be in bottom 5
Issue #12 Full Drive and Golem Heart ends
Issue #13 Robot starts to be at the bottom (excluding Lycopne) ~ this was 4 months ago
Issue #15 Bozebeats start to take Robot's last spot, then Act Age joined. It stayed that way until Bozebeat ended, then Robot back to being the last spot
Right now we're at issue 30.

You tell me The Mighty Jump keeps a sub 100k series with no anime around for 4 months, there has to be a little sprinkle of the author's last mega success series. Also feel free to use Gun Blaze West as a counter argument.

I disagree, see my reason above. In other to potentially get an anime Robot has to survive 2 more rounds, that would put it to like 4 more months(?) to a total of 8 months at the bottom selling sub 100k

Next week is Momiji first ranking?

Now that RxL is dead there is an empty slot in Viz roster. Wondering what will fill it.

I mean, the point was that they wanted it to be successful. Especially since it was a previously successful mangaka.
The series wasn’t successful, but the push had a point to it

It is a bit weird. Why transfer something like Lycopene to Jump Plus when they could've transferred Robo, which already has a decent following, is more popular than almost everything in the lineup, and would probably be fairly successful with an anime in a year or so? So I do think Fujimaki may have just wanted to end it and start fresh rather than sticking with it. Though who knows what the editorial department is thinking these days.

On the Viz slot, I'd be surprised if they filled it straight away. They haven't been able to put OPM in much this year due to the longer chapters, plus all the Jump Starts filling the issues along with monthlies & HxH. Maybe they'll play it safe by releasing it more frequently over the next few months while waiting to see if something sticks in Japan, since they've been pretty bloated lately.

I wouldn't have brought up Gun Blaze West. I feel like there were a lot of factors that led to the messy overall serialization/situation of RxL. I have a feeling that WSJ quickly had to rush something together for their six round startup in 2017, instead of planning out things more carefully and now their hasty planning/decision came back to bite them and it didn't really benefit all of the mangaka either. Think about Dr. Stone for example, they brought back an old writer and the only artist they could find was Boichi, which already was very busy with another weekly serialization, while Poro and Hungry Marie were such complete messes that make me wonder if they even had any proper planning beforehand.

I feel like we will be getting a lot of new series. You're right, the anime adaptations for these will either make them or break them.

I think the fact that the manga didn't move somewhere else kind of proves that Fujimaki simply didn't want to work on it any longer. I was questioning the manga's future when the mangaka was complaining within the first 20 chapters that he's really struggling with the research work that's necessary for golf.

It sold better than most of the new series that premiered alongside it. Even ignoring that sales stagnated it feels weird to pull the plug on a sub 100k seller when the top three this issue are all sub 100k sellers.

Yeah I think this was Fujimaki's decision as well.If this was his true passion than it sucks that he couldn't make it work. Let's hope he doesn't crawl back to Kuroko and just start from the drawing board.

This has been happening too much, I can't ignore it . I'm worried they're being overworked. The pressure is high for both.
I don't see the problem....

They have assistants no ?

BC chapter of last issue was 11 pages too, if you don't count the color spread.
These people are dying.
You are exagerating...

No where on that tweet is there anything close to a mention of anything anime related. Its for the Araki Hirohiko Jojo Exhibition: Ripples of Adventure.
http://jojoex-2018.com/
The tweet says it'll reveal new information about this event and also reveal a new key visual by Araki for this event. Not to completely rule out any anime related stuff but I've yet to see an anime announcement made at a press conference for an art gallery.
I know you said it's not ruled out but I have to place this meme

So happy man. Is it really this fall? That's scary, unless it's been in production for a while. I'm hoping for a split cour

Edit: yep this fall, wow.

Will Jump have the news or is that coming later?
Lowkey announcement for something coming in 4 months.

Wait Fall??? Jojo directors and other staff are busy with Tsubasa, which will last for 50 or so episodes, and another show airing in Summer. This sounds like a terrible idea.
