One thing to be sure.

Both Act-tage and Jujutsu are in Jump Awakening. But... what about Noah's Notes? Have they still a chance to survive the axe and enter that? Gyaru-chan has a lot of potential.

Fallen Angels released a batch of Hinomaru chapters today and reminded me again why Kawada needs to return with a battle shonen after he is done with Hinomaru.

Act-Age is going to be the next RxL, cancelled after 50-70 chapters.

Really need to catch up to Hinomaru.

After Kawada is done with Zumou, I want him to consider:

a spin off about Chihiro going to the MMA route and becoming the first japanese UFC heavyweight champion.

But that's just me.

I'm not really one to complain about mild spoilers like this but that page was so good in context that I really wish you put a spoiler tag on it lol

What's so good about it? I'm thinking of checking it out.
Here's a few quick thoughts I have about it. I wish there were a few more chapters translated so I could go more in depth.

It's hard to dive into it without spoiling things. It's manga about a very talented girl that lives a fairly tough life because she has to take care of herself and her younger siblings on her own. She happens to catch the attention of a genius/odd director at an audition and he decides that he wants to see her develop more as an actress, despite her being a rookie.

The actress gets so invested into her roles to the point where she confuses fantasy and reality, which is problematic and this adds to the intrigue of the manga(it isn't good for her mental health either). She needs to learn how to control herself better so she won't do anything that's too crazy or dangerous when she's acting, while using her talent/ability to her advantage when the cameras are rolling. The character has an interesting personality, some people really like her(including myself) and I've seen some people that hate her because of how unrelatable/weird she is. Other really interesting characters get thrown in and we get to see just how harsh and competitive the world of acting is, it isn't an industry where you can joke around, even in the lower levels. I think the art is really good, but I've seen some people complain about the style. It isn't a manga for everyone.

I guess it's a bit of an oddball manga, try the first chapters to see if you can get into it or not, that's the best recommendation I can give. It can be very charming in its own way, but it depends if you like this fairly eccentric flavor of charm.

I'm happy to see Act-Age surviving so far. I hope that at least survive for one year.

Volume1 chapter 1-7
Volume2 chapter 8-16 (July)
Volume3 chapter 17-25 (August)
Now we are at chapter 22
So just accept the fact that it will end !!!

I surprised no one posted this here, unless I missed some posts, especially considering Act-age is getting some momentum.
https://tsugimanga.jp/nominate/2018/comics/

Act-age, Jujutsu Kaisen and Dr. Stone have all been nominated for the Tsugi Kuru Manga Taisho, essentially an award for what readers think will be the next, or one of the next hits in the industry. Neverland won 2nd place last year, Heroaca won first the first time this award was run back in 2014-2015. Sesuji also won first during the second time so its not really indicative of anything. Sesuji lasted 10 volumes though, and I'd say that's pretty good for rookie manga like Act Age and Jujutsu. Also, who nominates these manga? Is it some committee or does Shueisha nominate the manga themselves? If it's the latter, it could just be a form of promotion. Anyway, this is some strong evidence that Act Age will most likely survive.

Can someone explain what Jump Awakening is? I only know it involves Jujutsu and Act-age, but nothing else. Is it an event, a campaign?

But that would mean we're getting another serialization round in a month. If we're only getting another serialization round in two months, then Act-age would be approaching the 30 chapter mark which would lead to four volumes. The manga has been recently nominated for that award and it is part of Jump Awakening with Jujutsu Kaisen, whatever Jump Awakening is(please someone explain what it is).

I wish this Act-age situation wouldn't be so confusing,

Farewell Ziga
Peace out Ziga. Truly a deserving member of the U19 club if I've ever seen one.
This all but confirms that Act-Age is safe for the time being. Double volume release must be to try to stimulate hype.
Jujutsu last scanlated chapter: chapter 12. Jujutsu last raw chapter: chapter 16.
Noah's Notes last scanlated chapter: chapter 6. last raw chapter: chapter 15.
Act-tage last scanlated chapter: chapter 7. Last raw chapter: chapter 22.

Well, seems Act-tage Edited Mangas are starting to ride well, so let's go.
I feel like part of the reason Noah's Notes is so far behind is that the chapters are incredibly text-heavy, and the dialogue seems rather complex since it brings up all this archaeology stuff. Hopefully Act-Age will start to catch up though.
Act-Age be like a phoenix, he rised from the ashes beautifully and was reborn!
But man seriously so happy with Act-Age getting some love in Japan, now just hope that it will last longer than Sesuji or Samon
Sesuji lasted 10 volumes though, and I'd say that's pretty good for rookie manga like Act Age and Jujutsu. Also, who nominates these manga? Although I'd want to see it last longer, I would call ending at 10 volumes for a complete newbie to be successful enough. I would've liked to see Samon go on longer, but I wouldn't call 10 volumes a complete failure. With Act-Age getting this nomination, CP, and being a member of this Jump Awakening thing, I'd say there's a 90-95% chance that it will be solidly safe for at least one more serialization round. I can't see all of the new serializations being huge hits, so I doubt it'll end up being the lowest seller in the magazine for the time being.

And some shonen jump+ titles are nominated for the web manga division as Jigokuraku and Summertime render, Ao No Flag took the third place last year.

Someone (sorry I forget who) posted a few pages back an author comment from Fujimaki from near when it started that was something about how tough making a golf manga was (something along those lines) so for all we know he was offered to be moved to Jump+ but decided he'd rather end it and do something new.
Obviously I don't know for sure, but when you look at the chapters, that's just not likely. It makes little sense to start expanding the cast and set up a bunch of plot important matches if you just want to get to the end. Even less so that you'd spend almost two volumes (a fifth of the total chapter count) on a tournament's first round opponent whose impact on the bigger picture is rather limited. If you want to cut your series short, it seems to me that it'd be a lot more sensible to get to the climax as quickly as possible, only drawing some key events along the way, and focus on that for the ending. Frankly, this last chapter makes it look as if Fujimaki had no idea he'd get cancelled when he was drawing the penultimate one.

Even on its own merits, struggling with research early on isn't particularly indicative of anything besides him not having done a whole bunch before he started. Research becomes easier as you become more familiar with a topic and have an easier time placing details in a larger context after all.

From what I understand, "Jump Awakening" is a sort of cross promotional campaign, where Jump is trying to push Jujutsu Kaisen and Act Age as new additions to the magazine and build up reader interest. I think they do it every so often with new series, "Jump Rising" which was a similar deal happened a while ago. Either way, it looks like good news for people who'd like to see more of Jujutsu and ActAge.
