I haven't watched the latest episode yet (from Sunday), but episode 12 should be the final one of this series.
I just checked MAL and it says it's done too.

You can watch Gegege no Kitaro.It quickly became my and @Erinyes 's favourite ongoing series.Only 13 episodes released you can catch soon.Even if you watch only 1 episode a day.

I have the utmost respect for the author of this manga Shigeru Mizuki, who experienced WWII and lost his dominant arm and had to learn how to draw whith his remaining arm yet the guy was able to deliver some great drawings, props to him :zomg

Also the guy is a Historian and a specialist of Japanese folklore (Yokai) GGG is labelled as a child targetted audience, it is still a shonen, indeed some stuff may somehow sounds "simplistic" but it still deals with very serious topics and is sometimes quite cruel (bully, growing old lonely, social issues). also the yokai universe is very deep and complex. The anime is very well done so far, great ost, great seiyuu, sometimes quite dark atmosphere, very decent animation, i really think it s way too much underrated sadly :pout

also love how they adapted the series by smartly adding modern stuff (like smartphone, internet...)

Good. That confused me from the get go as it was always announced as 13, but decided to change episode 1 into "0" so they could undo the mistakes that had been made.
