Why didn't Elizabeth recognize Sun?

So after Elizabeth regained her memory and she saw Escanor use his grace. She in no way recognized the sun grace even though she should have atleast how about it's function and put 2&2 together

It might have to do with mael and estarossa's mind fuckery explanation. But the truth is nakaba just didnt want to spoil the relationship between escanor's power and the sun grace for later in the story

It might have to do with mael and estarossa's mind fuckery explanation. But the truth is nakaba just didnt want to spoil the relationship between escanor's power and the sun grace for later in the story

The problem with that is he could have just thrown out a panel of he looking at escanor power and feeling like she's seen it before.

Considering Sar Tar and Ludo recognized it before the spell was even broken, then it's most likely what @Inuhanyou123 said in that Nakaba simply didn't want it revealed at that point in time. It's hard to think she wouldnt have known as she spent ample time around him, its just one of those rare errors on Nakaba's part.

like estarossa, sure, but i dont think nakaba was trying to hint at what was supposed to be a huge reveal, that's why the only info we had gotten was from her recollection of him from estarossa's side, not mael who by all accounts "no longer existed"

It really wasn't that huge of a reveal. It just sorta happened with little build up.

Disagree, estarossa is mael has been slowly building up since 113 from a slow build up of inconsistencies that didn't add up in estarossa's character. I'd say it was pretty big of a reveal that was foreshadowed pretty well.

Elizabeth simply doesn't care for the graces, since they aren't associated with Meliodas yet or anything else she finds important.

Given that she is the Supreme Goddesses daughter and happened to spend a fair amount of time around the Four Archangels back as a Goddess, I'm fully expecting for her to understand what the graces are and what they do, her not recognising the sun grace is merely Nakaba wanting to keep things hidden and unrevealed.

what i was saying in that post is that escanor being a human but with that crazy power for all those chapters unanswered segues naturally into the graces being a thing as a concept. it works.

Anyhoo, she didnt really care like she doesnt care what her mother thinks falling in love with the head of the demon clan, she doesnt care if everyone suffer because of their forbidden love, she doesnt care whatever decision Meliodas wants to go back in his demon clan and save her from eternal death, she doesnt care about the SINS as long as Meliodas is safe so on and so forth. She has been built by NS to be this way ever since, so no suprise if she ignores sunshine. Its like she knows it but she doesnt give a damn, thats her personality.

Maybe Mael just doesnt get all buff like Escanor does so she assumes its something different. The AA all have their own graces so maybe thats why they could sense it from far away.
