Man, seems I'm probably one of the only people who likes the direction the anime took with Sister Krone's design. I personally hated the way she was drawn in the manga. Hopefully Cloverworks can still give her a similar intimidation factor without making her look almost like black caricature from the 1940s

Krone was suppose to be intimating given her expressions and large built made her memeworthy since it was the complete opposite of how you would expect a Mama to look like. The anime took that away by making her a lot more generic so the factor just isn't there. I don't think Posuka meant anything to offend people with her character design she just wanted to leave an impression.

That's fine and well. I get she's supposed to be intimidating, an unknown and a source of anxiety for the Emma and the others. I'll even go as far to admit she had some memorable and downright terrifying faces, but I could have done without the horsefaces and inanely large lips and teeth.

If something as seemingly anti-fujo like Yowamushi Pedal and Osomatsu can hit it big with them than Zumou has a fair chance.

She looks so young it makes me believe it might just be younger Krone's design but I doubt it.

Cloverworks job here is the animation which for the most time, the animators do their job. If your problem is with staff, well, those are freelancers and would be the "culprit", not the studio which is doing other function.

Bad/subpar anime adaptations have still lead to big sales for series.

I would say there’s no direct correlation in the adaptations quality reflecting in sales.

The studio is definitely the culprit as well, especially when you always have inconsistent productions like A1. They also take the blame, don't try to frame them as completely innocent.

Anyway who knows what TPN's production will be like, but I won't expect much in the consistency department.

Reminder that Tokyo Ghoul was by and large not the best anime adaptation yet it still gave a considerable boost to the manga sales. Different studio sure, but all I'm saying is that if the plot is engaging enough to capture a wide audience, it can still be a successful product despite its flaws.

Krone could be drawn that way to avoid spoiling that she's an antagonist or it's just off and her actual design will be different, even Norman looks somehow different compared to the character design sheet.

Character designer/Animation director worked mainly on moe shows. I doubt they're hiding a spoiler since Krone appears in the 5th chapter.
