If so, it was pretty obvious that it would happen.

I dunno, there seemed far better chances for him to do stuff than that - that whole setup was done pretty cackhandedly, if you ask me.

We're actually picking it up again for those same reasons, not investing in it, just morbid curiosity. My wife dropped it S8E02, I dropped it after the first half ended.
But with all the news of main players leaving, I'm very curious what they're going to do.

Same goes for the FtWD, they changed their main cast up entirely this past season.

There's a lot of interesting casting news, and I liked what I've seen from the new showrunner. But with that being said, there's a really stinky fog over it with who is leaving this next season though... But I guess the show could end up more interesting for it. But I guess I'm not very optimistic about it.

I never bothered with Fear, but started watching it due to the Morgan crossover. The first half of the season I found interesting, I guess. I'm not sure where it's going now though. The writing is kind of all over the fucking place.

At least watch season 3 and 4 IMO. Some people were definitely annoyed by season 2, I do remember that. The show moved to more than 6 episodes from it's first season, they switched showrunners, so there were definitely some growing pains.

I'll probably end up doing that.

Will finish this season soon, then watch more till I head off next week.
If it improves, I'll be happy.

If not, I won't pick it up again when I return to Austria.

I think it makes more sense - as, let's be fair, these 'walkers' could never lead to an apocalypse in the real world, but might be able to in a 'less developed' one.

Thought so too, but I suppose it could happen in modern times too if it spreads really fast and like more than half the world has it before anyone notices. Though even then should be possible to contain unless the leaders and other important people get it too. Unlikely.

Watched that, got the T-shirt, thought it was alright but not great.

Did like the hotel though - it was pretty great.

Well, I think the appeal of the spinoff was interesting. A look into the beginning of the apocalypse in an urban setting... that's a cool idea, especially since Rick basically slept through all of that, and the most you get is brief flashbacks. But they put a timeskip in the freaking first season, so it basically became the same show only in a different setting with characters that only pissed you off...

Yeah, that was a very interesting and welcomed twist, I was theorizing that before they made it known. Really liked that.

Yeah, I saw that news, that alone makes me hyped for TWD. He's a perfect fit for Beta!
Really love the actor too, ever since I first saw him in the Taken mini-series, or Remember the Titans. Not sure which I saw first.
Recently found out he has a small part in Saving Private Ryan. (He was also in Patch Adams and the Postman)

Either way, Opie was a great character, and his ending was fucking gut-wrenching. He was in another show after, Outsiders, which was fun, but he was the main reason I started watching it.
