I am not saying he could beat him the same way. But Escanor has attacks which are much more powerful than that, his Super Slash especially. Anyone would beat him after 60 seconds but this isn't easy. Mael doesn't have teleportation and Escanor is obviously very fast.

Ludociel can teleport via portals.Mael should be able to do the same,considering Ludo is his teacher.

Not really. Mael retreating could be for literally any reason.

Mael could've had his casserole in the oven and was worried it would get burned. We don't know .

So the answer isn't clear.

Wait, why does everyone think Meliodas ''driving off Mael'' means he's superior?

That was Mael without sunshine barely active, and all he did was walk away - literally means nothing.

Why would Mael the champion of the goddess, even retreat from a battle unless he stood no chance.

Mael is also powerful enough that escanor arrogant self at noon would likely not do enough damage to take him out and mael would regenerate almost instantly after the minute is up. (mael didn't take long to get back up.)

For the last time, Mael could've retreated because:

- Nakaba has a constant erection for Meliodas and will make him look good against Mael despite in any logical context that second demon mark Meliodas should be inferior to Mael with sunshine. (Mael was an equal to AM. SDM Meliodas is obviously weaker than Mael)

- The SD wanted him to pull back.

- The battle wasn't worth it.

-Fodderizing Berlion pleased Mael enough for one day.

- He had to go back and stalk Elizabeth some more.

Saying that Meliodas is superior to Mael because the latter retreated is child's logic, especially considering Mael is the equivalent of Mel in Assault Mode, so how does Mel get praised for something again when he shouldn't?

Mael would've took his morning shit on SDM Mael with sunshine yet we are all praising Meliodas instead of saying how lucky he was the Archangel retreated?

Zeldris and Ludociel should be at the same level.

Same for the two masters and the two other Archangels.

We have never seen Mael fight without Sun expected when he was very weak and when he recovered his memories. If it was barely sane Mael with 3C I would have given it to the Archangels but we have no feats of normal Mael without Sun so the Demons win.

I think it's more likely that there is a mechanism or spell allowing him to teleport to the Sky Palaces.

Four Archangels (Mael doesn't have sunshine) vs Chandler, Cusack, Zeldris & Meliodas (No Assault Mode).

Meliodas points 4 fingers, one for each enemy & shoots a lazer beam from each finger. AA duo instantly are ruined, Ludo flash steps & Mael blocks. Mael is subsequently dealt with by Meliodas as per canon, the 3 demons proceed to bully Ludo who initially runs around the battlefield for dear life but is eventually caught..... wait a sec, Mael doesn't even have Sunshine here... that changes how quickly this would go down.

Mel points 4 fingers = 4 lazer beams. AA duo & Mael are instantly ruined by 3 lazer beams, making this a 4 vs 1 match very quickly. The 4 demons then bully Ludo to death.

Impossible to answer since we don't know how strong both of them are.

Yes what King showed in this chapter is impressive but that doesn't necessarily mean he is stronger than Mael, since Mael is a confused mess right now.

Meanwhile the One casually one-shoted AM Mel, so we can assume he is at least stronger than him but as Escanors previous fights have shown he doesn't need to be way stronger than his enemies to do so, which means the One could be anywhere from 150K to 200 or even 300K.
