When you suddenly introduce a powerful new character, they need to be put in the background as soon as possible, especially in a harem series, can't have people overshadowing the protagonist. Plus, she was his mentor, so Ouga was pretty much doomed from the start.

his per volume list is super inaccurate since it takes the total divide by number of volumes. Regarding your question, you're not wrong since DB has many editions after it ended, but i think One Piece has more sales per volume than Slam Dunk.

the more l look at the list the more flaws i find lol, there's no way Haikyuu is only about 9k more than MHA per volume considering the sales gab before season 3, and how is BC 380k on average when its highest volume was less than 320k in 7 months
