As police mostly doesn‘t shoot you at gunpoint unless you resist or do something stupid.

That's the beauty of living in the better EU countries, compared to the Wild West shenanigans North and South America deal with. There's no way in hell we could compare Western-EU situations with N/S-America situations.

This is where I bring up England again, most of their policing forces don't even have guns. They're not allowed to carry. Then again, they're very strict on guns in general so it's a rarity that a civilian has, or uses one.

Please. Real life isn‘t counter strike like you make it sound Shooters doing a 1v1. Most of the time it‘s enough to just be the first to point the gun at the other, and that‘s enough to intimidate and prevent anything bad from further happening. Exactly. And you're saying civilians win out in that situation. This isn't ideology, it's pragmatism; is it wise to introduce guns in a society when we need guns on top of laws to control criminality?

Also I'm not of the opinion that it's fair to make decisions for someone else and their ability to procreate, under almost any circumstances. Only if the child will be in constant physical pain or will live a short life or something that extreme should be a potential bar to procreation..

But other than that, like give people a gun, infringement upon someone ability to decide how, when and if to give birth is short sighted, stupid and doesn't at all solve anything. A solution or better situation is assumed to follow. Too extreme. Too simple.

I definitely dont need a gun to feel safe no matter where i am...not to boast but thats because i always have my eyes open.

But gun do change preception of oneself....gives you a superman feel that you cant be hurt...now thats dangerous.

Take it from me,a former gun toting hooligan....if you start handing out guns to young people who have no sense of reason but the code of the streets.
