I don't tend to exclude genres, but most pure yaoi/yuri (or shounen/shoujo-ai) I've seen or read haven't been that good, so I don't really look out for those myself.

Well mal had that api update whatever and I lost my account because I didnt remember my password or old email... Just recommend your recent faves.

Doubt that would still work anyway, MAL was down for almost two months earlier this year because of cyber-attacks, most third-party apps and websites are still adjusting to the new system they are using, but alright;

First I'll mention my favorite (and highest rated) Shounen, the first is The Law of Ueki (Ueki no Housoku), which also has a mediocre anime adaptation and a fun (but cancelled) sequel manga. It's a typical shounen plot in regards that a 100 random people got random powers to fight each other and declare a King of the Celestial World. Cliché as fuck, I know, but this is one of the most interesting manga because of the powers the people get and the way the mangaka executes those and the battles. For example; one person has the power to change towels into steel when he holds his breath, or another person who has the power to change his forehead into diamond. I know. Weird. But it all works perfectly.

Second would be Zatch Bell! (Konjiki no Gash Bell!!) which has the same exact plot, but instead the people don't get powers, but they get send little (kid/puppet-like) demons which they have to use to fight. Besides the wide array of fucking hilarious characters, it features great battles and a lot of emotional scenes. Mostly it's comedy (and facial expressions) is what steals the show. Both manga have ended years ago, with Ueki having 154 weekly chapters and Gash having 323 chapters. The latter has a great anime with two fun non-canon movies.

Lately I've been really into the latest manga of the Ueki mangaka, which has again.. the same plot ( ), and again really weird powers with the MC having the most over-powered one (going back in time by killing himself) it still delivers great fights

Jagaaaaaan is a good Seinen, that.. again.. deals with people getting random powers (not for a tournament or anything), it's equally disturbing as it's.. disturbing. I don't really know how to promote this manga without spoiling, just google some pages I guess.

A Trail of Blood (Chi no Wadachi) is a fucking up Seinen too, it features a VERY overprotective mother and a mentally broken son.

Also check out my Manga Wars nomination, Animal Land (Doubutsu no Kuni) which is another manga I can't really tell you stuff about without spoiling toi much of it's story. (This one, and the first two are all rated 10 on my MAL)

You could also check out my lists on MAL, everything 8 or higher is a recommendation in one way or another. Both lists aren't complete though.

Spoil me....worth it or not?

Dunnot rookies. Is Haikyuu the volley ball stuff? i think i know it. Ippo was dope, then it became dull with ridiculous long fights. Felt like the author put all his effort into dragging the story fights. had to drop it, when you read chapter by chapter and after 6-7 months it's still the same fight going on.

Mostly cliché trash-romance plots, or a lot of Fifty Shades bullshit. So yeah, not really.

I wasn't really looking for anything to be honest, sometimes I don't feel like reading the manga I'm following and I randomly go to a reader-site and randomly picked a new (or newly updated) manga. That one was shit, but I found a really cute other one about a hedgehog and a new shounen comedy about Louvre Highschool that follows the Statue of David as a student. (Also Manneken PIss). So two out of three ain't that bad. The latter is definitely going to be a big anime hit in the next year or two.

No. I don't watch much anime either way. I keep it mostly at manga. I did see Sensitive Pornograph though. And yes, I liked it.
