Gedo VS Ippo match is just too painful to read. I get so riled up that I just want Ippo to connect a damn hell of a punch just to shut that skeleton up for good

A JOLT! is a punch with all your bodyweight behind it. So anyone can really do JOLT's, Miyata is just especially talented and crazy as he uses his JOLT! as a counter.

Heart is the target, obviously^^

First a good punch to break through Gedo's guard, and then...Ippo medically kills him for seconds with a Heartbreak Shot^^

Although I'd really like Ippo to win this one with a very classic move of his : Liver Blow followed by a succession of hooks, which is Ippo's boxing essence.

i wanna see ippo get in one good shot to the face and obliterate it , just gedo drops to the ground his face contorted..the crowed shocked...gedo's manager stunned..

gedo dies at the hands of ippo....

but if that happened ippo would prollly quit boxing for fear of killing another person..




damn btw...no chapter for a while whats up? *just read that it will take two weeks for a new chapter, so does that mean sometime this week , or next week monday ish?

Another key element to using the moves is just that; actually using any of the moves he can.

He's had plenty of moves thrown by the wayside over the course of this series. For instance, can you remember the last time he used the Gazelle Punch? The 3/4ths Uppercut? The 10 Centimeter Punch? Sure, he can't just use whatever moves he wants--but is it really a matter of incompatibility, or is Morikawa just skittish about re-using them? I don't box, so it's hard to say for sure.

In regards to a new move, I think he should work on perfecting the Dempsey Smash before worrying about that. Honing the Roll into a capable move on the World Stage is mandatory, because it's the most natural extension of his style out of all the techniques he has. And it's the strongest, too, judging by the fact that no one has taken it full on and kept fighting. I don't see how he'll be able to beat Martinez if he doesn't polish that first--in fact, I don't think he'll need a new move if he can do that.

well considering ippo's final blow that was about to come ..before gedo blocked up his openings, i could see ippo's perfect punch coming through decimating gedo's block, maybe breaking his arms...and just ending the fight right there..

honestly this is one fight ippo can't loose..but *sorry i don't know the authors name* if he was to right ippo loosing once he could do it again...

well, thats the thing isnt it?
a manga like naruto thats so very vague on everything and has a HUGE fanbase of
extreme theory-Fanatics gets a lot of meaningless threads with lots of people talking about nothing back and forth.
but with the really good mangas like HnI, Berserk, OP and other no huge discussions are needed. because they are so much more well written.

am i right?

Right and wrong: it's true Ippo is better than Naruto, but there are so much more characters in HNI that you could expect quite a lot of "ideal match-up" topics.

Ippo vs Miyata is less developed than Sasuke vs Naruto, though... To my mind, that's the only aspect HNI is deficient in.
