I wonder if this means theyd have a greater appreciation and coverage of one shots, since viz typically skips over those, and if the *digital vault* would be the final volume version including volume exclusive drawings. pages. afterwards, or just the chapters only. Would the simulpub chapters get replaced with the volume versions as well? (leaning towards a no unless the vigilantes chapters were updated post release)

Would they expand simulpub to giga, and include more jump square, like platinum end and twin star exorcists?

And then I wonder what they'd do with the past viz which dropped KHR and Gintama...

That one is actually an interesting point since they are simulpublishing outside the magazine but not free. I'm not sure if there's any other series like that either.

I mean, they’re most likely going to translate them at some point anyway, so it would make more since to do them more dedicatedly now that they’re not restricted to magazine format

It'll be more obvious what Jump Starts are popular now at any rate, since they can see how many people read each individual chapter instead of having to rely on a survey.

I guess we'll see what it means for new pick-ups as we get into 2019.

i hope we can sort by popularity, and they show view counts and have comment sections for each chapter and let you follow series and get email updates when they have a new chapter.

I assume there will be a comment section for each chapter as the free section already has that but barely anyone ever uses it

Interestingly, they included Muhyo and Black Cat in the video despite them never being in their Jump. Guess that means they’ll be including other Jump label series in the vault, and not just stuff that ran in the magazine? Eyeshield 21 digital when?

Just had a look at my copy of Bleach JET. It was expensive... but I can say that it was worth the purchase. These two artbooks are gorgeous. Very high quality. Plus I like the novelty of owning the Burn The Witch one shot in volume form.

I didn't really see any new concept designs for Bleach characters, but the Burn The Witch book has some for it's characters. It's a neat touch.

Am quite any series thats listed in the ALL SERIES section on the Weekly Shonen Jump app will be the ones added first.

Would be surprised if Eyeshield 21 gets in as its not digital anywhere. Slam dunk isnt digital either by them.

So perhaps if either show up on launch in the digitial vault it would be major surprise.

I'm definitely on board with the new Viz plan. I'll probably stop reading scans tbh. I'm getting to a point in adult life where I'm too busy to care about same day pub. I just try to read same week. It will also give me a chance to read old series I've always been interested in like Kuroko's basket, Slam Dunk, Black Cat, eye shield, etc.

They reaaaaaally need to make it feel like Netflix. They need to have recommended for you, pick up where you left off etc. Just steal every Netflix feature and get people reading maximum chapters and keeping eyeballs in the app.
