Things are looking worse and worse for Souma. I don't think anything can really help it right now. Even if they gave it another anime season I doubt it would have any impact.
Nah, with how the story is going atm and looking at sales, it's quite the clear the series is currently heading for its ending. The whole BLUE Arc currently just reeks of "The editors told us it will be over soon, let's rush to the conclusion asap and try to salvage anything still left of our destroyed narrative."

I do not think an anime can help Souma, but now it does not even make sense, the story is starting to its natural conclusion.

If Souma ends, then Haikyuu would be the only thing left from 2012. The three oldest series in the magazine would be One Piece, Hunter x Hunter and Haikyuu.

But it will not end immediately, at least another six months will take.

True, but Souma is also one of the older series. Saiki finished and Gintama moved to GIGA. The magazine is in a really fresh state right now.

WHAT?

I see every day videos about the next season and Kimetsu is always in the thumb. People are so excited to see Kimetsu anime, one guy here said how Kimetsu was so popular with the internet fandom, the series is probably selling so much in digital, Haikyuu level.

The new king of the Shounen/Seinen genre.

Bet time:

Kimetsu no Yaiba will end up selling more than Neverland.
What do you mean end up selling more?
For 2019? Lifetime sales? Sales per volume a year after the series ends?

Dr. Stone has to be considered one of the biggest failures to ever come out of Jump based off expectations. People have said it's Black Clover but I really doubt that now thinking of it. Shame.

It's not even selling bad at all....
And there's no indications that they expected it to be monumental success.
Of Course they want all of their series to do well, but we haven't gotten a single "Dr.Stone will be the next big pillar"-like quote from Jump.

i feel like you uys exaggerate how bad Stone is doing

Just made an account to post this about Yonko, this is definitely
"Your Lie In April"

(Hero Aca Airs Oct 2019 )
youtubers arent meant to be trusted, especially when they bumble so epically on one of the most popular adaptions of our generation. How people still take what he says as the four-gospel-canon is beyond me when you make a mistake on the biggest properties. Guess he's only good for a one or two hour lead time on regurgitating magazine scans.

Both can be true, it's exaggeration cause compared to the market it's fine but with the super jump push, 4 emperors of Jump nonsense, anime, and successful writer and artist it got beat by a harem and a 2018 exorcism series. I'm not an avid sales analyst but I even know that's not great great. BC got branded as the next Naruto but it was more aesthetically, nothing will truly be the next Naruto and even if there was it's taken by Boruto.

Surprised by Jujutsu vol 0 sales. At this point with the sales it has and the safety that comes with it i think is fair to expect some of the potencial everyone talked about to become true in order to take things to the next level. I feel like the next big arc is essencial to see which space jujutsu will occupy on the magazine and what it can offer.

It's not doing bad as a manga but compared to the promotions that it receives on positions, marketing, Color Pages and Covers? It really is, even compared to Black Clover, but at least BC sells almost 300k per volume while Stone is still struggling to even reach a lower number. Jujutsu already surpassed it on a less time and the manga that debuted with it and it's in a genre that historically is less popular which is bokuben is 30k above it.

Stone really really needs the anime to get a boost at this point.

The whole “branding” thing just seems to be something they do for every new series now/.
But why compare it to other series? Each series are doing their own thing. The genre and year doesn’t matter.
Different series pick up canvases at their own pace.

Just don’t really understand why it’s success is compared Jujutsu and We Never Learn.
Don’t really see how they correlate to Stone.
For Jujutsu, some series just come out with a lot of sales right out the gate. Doesn’t mean that all the older series selling less than it are failing.
We Never Learn is a completely different genre with a different type of fanbase.
And I still don’t feel like Stone gets anymore promo than the other series in the magazine.

Stone is from a veteran mangaka and excellent artist, getting that "push" was natural, if not stone than wich series from that new line up?

Stone sells decent and could have an anime boost.
If you want to talk about failure,Hinomaru Zumou is the biggest one. He was first in a TOC beating OP before it was common, and people tought at that time if it would become a Kuroko-like seller.... and look at it now, selling 20k with an anime...

Everyone lets just say that Dr Stone is Artificial Success and both Jujutsu Kaisen and BokuBen are Natural Success.
