I would imagine that Sorachi would update everyone on what's happened since the last chapter. I think an anime announcement would only be possible next March at the Shirogane Matsuri if Sorachi can manage to finish the manga in these next three chapters.

Honestly one way or another I really suspect Gintama still going to be here for awhile. Though when it finally ends it will be unforgettable
I second that, but a stopping point such as the battle at the trash heap in 25 episodes will requiring blitzing through the series at 2 episodes per volume which seems exessive to me. I would rather they reach that point in 36-39 episodes.
I feel like if Sorachi extends his stay too long, then it could sink the anime returning for a while. Gintama still has its core fanbase intact in Japan but its staying power compared to its prime has declined immensely. I've said this before but it's not often that a live action movie can keep a franchise relevant while it still has an anime AND a manga ongoing/recently ongoing. I would imagine that had there not been the live action movie, the news of the manga 'ending' in September would not have gotten onto national TV and gotten attention there.
Yeah, no way they’re covering more than that unless they want to make the same mistake and be forced to wait another 2 to 3 years for season 5.

technically Hinomaru is continuing to 26 episodes so it does have an anime in 2019
will be curious how anime only people take Haikyuu if it really stops there, Inarizakis were divisive as well as the previous focus on nekomas (unless the anime skips that set of chapters)
