Is there any point in having 50 posts of "what's in this game"? I get people going thru the new mechanic but I don't get the "let's randomly pick 3 out of 5 roles to talk about but let's not mention anything about ourselves cause why not".

People like data mining host minds or they used to back when I played.

I don't have much else to say at this point. Still considering the perpetual guardian form lockdown Panda mentioned. Stalemates are entertaining to me.

I don't think the hosts would overlook the possibility of multiple perma Guardians massively blocking night kills so I wonder if the non towns don't have ways of countering that. Gladly I guess that the Speed form can't do it, since blocks are p1 and kills p3, if I'm not mistaken .. they're 2 lvls apart. Considered multiple Strongman but I gotta reread their part in this game, didn't fully get it/recall it and if that's mafias counter then it wouldn't make sense for the third parties.
That's all to say I'm a bit afraid of that plan not working so well.

Correct me if I got it wrong, but in a sense, a game with no one dying at night phases would lead to less evidence to discuss during daytime and could actually favor the mafia in a roundabout way. No one dying means detectives and doctors would be struggling to confirm anything and that'd just be the beginning. That way, perma guarding is probably not as awesome as it is for a strategy.

Well, but mafia or third party can't win as long as there are townies in the game as well (unless they tie their numbers with them). Actually, they can't win at all as long as there's any member of another non-town faction in game. So in the end it's terrible for them, it prevents them from reaching victory, which is usually a slow road alrdy in the traditional model, without this new mechanic.

Oh boy, this mechanic will be quite troublesome, especially the magic form. It will confuse us all bar keeper style.

Well it’s only limited to a a couple of role types as oppose to everyone so question is.... which are you? Although doubt you have a day action for a second game in a row.

Speed just alters the priority of actions to the one right before it (ex.: if the action had priority 3, it goes to the pile as priority 2 instead).

Same, I was thinking they're similar.

I was thinking that last night but now I can see they are different. Speed form seems to be better for roles that are second priority or higher. So killing is third priority which makes power form better since it would make someone like a partial strongman. Which could make up for a lot of people choosing guardian.

I was only commenting on the game as a whole, didn't mean it as a hint. That's the part that caught my attention at 2 am cause it reminds me of the bar keeper role and I was like " this sounds like Asako". Actually, I can see some trolls using it even if it's not meant for their roles tbh.

Having said that, I'm only here to see @Lambu and @Takuan trying to kill each other. Let the bird war begin

On a more serious note, I'm glad some old players are back to make this game going the right direction, town has been a mess in the last games which is kinda frustrating.

True that complicates things, but the biggest problem last game was how town played as a whole. You‘ll notice this after you‘ve been town yourself or seen several games.

That and the Assassin with a dayrole claim I suppose

The forms remind me of Deoxys.

The system feels kinda pointless from first read, since mafia killers will always use power form, townies will always use either guardian or power if they suspect being blocked. A killer using power form and target using guardian form cancel each other out, basically coming back to how it normally works.

Feels like a placebo of sorts, making killers feel more safe with killing, and townies feel more safe with staying alive, when it actually doesn‘t do anything.

Only thing that could be relevant is mind games, like the killer using guardian too while expecting his target to not have guardian on, but that‘s high risk with low reward, ie. a bad idea most of the time.
But if townies opt for power/speed instead of guardian then even prostitutes/doctors targeting the right person won‘t be able to prevent a kill because of killers with power form.

TL-DR Always use guardian or all prostitutes/doctors become useless, or if you feel confident you‘re not being killed then do power. Speed is useless. The magic form is unreliable, and even a Bulletproof using that will die to a power form killer, so it‘s largely pointless.

You would think a game of 26 players would be more active. I wish it was more active sooner rather than later as I go into work later.

Anyway.... @James Rye, @Lambu, and @desin24, haven't made an appearance yet. Going to ignore the people just making their daily quota for the moment since so many hours are left.

I do want to mention that a day before the game started, @Emperor Spriggan was in an accident. So he might be MIA a bit. Nothing too serious but he wasn’t feeling good.

I think people feeling comfortable about not dying might happen more often than you're taking into consideration. Today people might use Guardian cause those D1 night kills are usually random but on D2 "promising" targets start to show up, giving the rest a more comfortable moment to try things out. Also, we don't know what the Magic ability of a BP is, so you can't be certain of that - unless there's something else in that saying of yours.

Yeah, but when you use the word "aware" and "will" like that you're passing to us certainty about the 3 groups being in game.
