Love Shokugeki no Souma #34 cover!!

It seems we can create a full illustration with Volume #35 cover (with Erina and her parents).

Quick question, do we know if Kubo's new project is going to be revealed in next week's issue or just some indeterminate time in the future? I initially assumed the latter but since it was put in next week's preview section I wanted to be sure.

I believe we’re getting a poster for the project

I just saw this floating around on twitter and your probably right.

My problem with this is that it should have been an announcement made in Vjump.

I mean no one wins here: whether you wanted a new series, a Bleach spin off or a Burn the witch continuation.

It would be an extremely cheap announcement, what a disappointment if true.

When was the last time that Shonen Jump made a teaser to a "new project" in the main magazine for a author drawing a character design in a game? also, all the Sakura Taisen mangas are from Kodansha excluding one from Hakusensha (shoujo), so i don't see Kubo writting/drawing a manga for it unless Shueisha has the rights at the moment, but it would be like a major disappointment to make a entire teaser to something like this.

Do you guys consider Kimetsu no Yaiba a battle shonen? I saw a person referring to it as one but I'm not sure myself if I consider it as one.

Finally finished TPN anime. Pretty embarassing adaptation that didnt even carry even an iota of the heart, passion, and suspense that the manga prides itself on. Apart from Ray and Norman's vocal performances and Lani/Thoma friendship it was honestly forgettable.

Anime made Emma look even more incompetent and unnecessary than she already is and mom was a joke.

I wish it had heart like Yuunas anime. At least that I actually looked forward to every week and felt it was fun.

Kimetsu movie was really, really good. Will be better animated than AoT and have better foght animation as well. The way they used sound is amazing. Super emotional too. Seriously this will be the best Jump adaptation, ever.

What are your favorites by the way? Haikyuu is definitely up there.

For sure. It may not be a quest of becoming the strongest demon hunter/pillar but there is definitely a battle system in the series. A pretty good indicator of a battle shonen, aside from the obvious fights lol.

Speaking of Kimetsu's battle system, it's weak and honestly one of the weaker ones Ive read from battle shonens. Fights are pretty good but as of late the action had been kinda meh. I remember enjoying the battles the most during the red light district the most despite it dragging at some point. It may just be that I loved Uzui's combat style.

Kimetsu shines more in its characters/emotional story/comedy than it does its fights/powerups.

It's probably the most battle shounen thing in Jump next to Black Clover currently. Before the current arc (which isn't all that different), the last 3-4 arcs have had basically the exact same structure and there's been so little progress in the way of plot. Go to place>Upper Moon happens to be there>Get into extremely drawn out fight where everyone gets destroyed and ends through some complete nonsense>Short but amazing comedic chapters between arcs>Repeat. Battles for the sake of battles, and it all got very monotonous for me personally. Just seemed like a very bland way to go about whittling down the Upper Moons.

One reason why I'm looking forward to the anime. It's so heavy on battles, and I imagine they'll be much more entertaining once animated. It is kinda a shame though, Gotouge really excels at her character interactions, but the series hasn't really had a whole lot of that for a long time now.
