It's on TV in Japan too, it's not like it's a netflix original you can only watch on there. It's also a bilibili show who apparently have a partnership with Funi now? So it may potentially show up on funi's site.

Little Witch Academia, Hi Score Girl and Saiki K S2 were also all on Japanese TV and only streamed on Netflix worldwide.

Spy x Family's second chapter was another hit for me. I really wish it was weekly, but if this is the type of quality we'll get each chapter, I'd say it's definitely worth the wait. Speaking of exceptional Jump+ quality, I just binged Ao no Flag on a whim, and oh boy, that's some good stuff right there. I'm so thankful series like these 2, High Risk Mission Therapy and Saguri-chan were all on Jump+ rather than in WSJ since I'd be too scared of them getting cut before their prime. High Risk and Saguri both had decent runs, especially considering what they would've been in WSJ,. Hopefully Ao no Flag and Spy x Family have long futures ahead of them

I don't think those series you mentioned could even exist there. Many series can only exist on jump+ because of how they deal with it as the manga there go to all demography, along the fact that it's a digital app/website. It's basically the same editorial of main jump afaik but they do things different there.

And yeah, there's a big amount of good and great manga there. Many of the manga I currently read are from there, much like I read many that already ended.

I love SpyXFamily so much. 2nd chapter was fanatastic

It's amazing. Best new series of 2019 that I have read. So good.

Spy x Family had the strongest Jump start I have seen since Neverland. Absolutely fantastic. The proposal scene has to be anime adapted, I hope it makes it that far.

Powerful chapters this week from Last Saiyuki, Higuma, and ne0, and I'm really interested to see what's going to happen in next week's chapter of Act-Age. Solid chapter for David-kun, and another strangely-paced chapter for Yui Kamio. I don't dislike it, but at the same time I'm not really loving it either. For Chainsawman, I feel like I basically look through these chapters just to see the interactions between Denji and Power since they usually have a pretty good back-and-forth together.

I think ne0lation had a great concept in theory that was squandered by poor execution. It should have started with this backstory in Ch.1.

Yui Kamio has to be one of the most generic yet boring shonen manga I have read. The mangaka clearly has no experience in the rom-com genre and it shows. Not to mention even 5 chapters in, the main cast is still non-existent apart from the main duo. I did notice the art including Yui's design was tweaked a bit. Seems like the readers reception was awful on that part.

It seems Gunjou no Magmell is a Chinese co-pro and being blocked outside Japan and China (not bilibili so Funimation's deal wouldn't work)

SpyxFamily was really good, can't wait for the next chapter! Last Saiyuki is in my opinion the best one out of the newbies (Chainsaw, Ne0, etc...)

I'd agree with that. Last Saiyuki has been consistently good with each chapter, whereas the other 4 newbies occasionally have weaker chapters to me. If I was forced to only choose one of the five to survive, it'd be Last Saiyuki, but honestly, all of them have atleast been decent for me each week.

I do agree with you, every newbie have been interesting so far even if some chapters were just ok.

To me Yui Kamio is the worst one of them (and I'm not saying it's bad), it might be due to the fact that I don't get where the author wants to go, for me it's just taking a lot of directions without really taking one (gag manga, romcom, more of mystery stuff with her"curse", etc...). However I'm waiting a few more chapters to see if the author really chooses an interesting path for his story and where he will go.

The pacing did seem faster, but it's probably because the last several chapters have been so slow, it almost felt like two chapters compressed into one. I don't think picking up the pace a bit is a problem.
