Is any possibility based on the sales of saiyuki that it could survive? I mean something like this had happened before? Except the case with hinomaru zumou
Placed dead last in the TOC and has horrible sales, no reason to keep it atp

It already dropped off the daily Shoseki ranking, and there hasn't been much reader interest. It's done, at best it might get an epilogue chapter like Gotei Higuma.

I dunno, but at this point it seems like another 6 series serialization round is a necessity.
the promoted the 6 new series serilazation round as "once in a life time event"
however with Nak the hack at the wheel I wouldn't put it pass him to make us watch a "once in a life time event" TWICE

Shoseki top 500 of July 7: http://shosekiranking.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-2709.html

Now it's looking better for Dr. Stone, all volumes appeared in the top 500, kinda strange to happen only after 2 days, but overall still a bit weak, vol 1 only at 166th.

Saigo no Saiyuki out of top 500 (ouch!) and Kamio Yui at 199th, it's actually holding better than expected.
SUNDAY MAGIC!!
everything sells better on Sunday

Why would someone buy the volumes after watching only 1 episode ?
It just doesn't make any sense
any exposure is better than no exposure
the pilot might intrigued people enough to want to read ahead

Anyone know whatever happened to the Takamagahara author? Did the terrible reception to it really make him go MIA and quit his mangaka career?
probably already back using a pen name
same with Sporting Salt mangaka

Im also surprised Sakaki Kenji (Enigma) never came back to the main mag. Always thought her next work would be a bonafide hit in Jump.
she wrote Love Dester on Jump Plus which took a long hiatus duo to her pregnancy
she probably appreciate Plus flexibility now that she's a mother and prefer to work there rather than dealing with WSJ deadline

if Platinum End ends up selling more than SxF just because they printed more copies of that shitfest I'd be insanely butthurt

Any idea what is this?
Seems the upper chart is the average TOC ranking from Issue 24 to 32 and the bottom one last known volume sales.

So Act-age sells more than WNL? The blue bars seems a bit off.

Probably compares WNL Vol 12 that released in June and Act-Age Vol 6 that released in May.

The blue bar is way off for some of those series, some series' sales are from the most recent volume (HQ, WNL, TPN etc) while the rest are from the highest volume on the half year Oricon (OP, MHA, JJK, A-A etc)

Am I crazy or Hinomaru's sales are absurdly high in that chart?

That's because those aren't Sumo's numbers, those sales are from the most recent HQ volume, meanwhile Sumo's sales are under HQ for whatever reason

It's even wackier than that. It's using the December volume for OP but not for MHA, despite that one selling better too.

Yeah it's all over the place, OP, MHA and HQ all released volumes in Dec, but he uses a Feb volume for MHA and an Apr volume for HQ

>the last 12 posts of this thread are people "discussing" a fan made twitter chart for there imaginary rankings and reporting wrong sales
>13 counting mine
:facepalm
i think i'm joing the posters that demand the ban of every non-news twitter post

"b-b-but it's fun", you can keep having your fun on twitter

to make this post on topic, Hasegawa art in the preview look different from his usual stuff

I think flawed/misinformed twitter charts make less of an argument for “no twitter” and more of one for looking into the things you share (or at least questioning it as you post, which the first person who shared it here kind of did).

Like manga communities are rife with misinformation, no matter where you look, and we all gotta get on top of it whenever we can.
