honestly that delay give KNY a good chance to compete with MHA

My calculations at the moment puts MHA at only ~500k ahead of KNY at best (most likely less than that)



if KNY can keep its good backlogs going, it may be able to overtake MHA series in 2 weeks (oricon ending 28/07), before MHA possibly taking the lead back with 24 the week after, but as kimetsu backlogs not seeing a slowdown anytime soon KNY have a good chance to surpass it again, soon after


especially with KNY 17 is scheduled of October, so I say the winds are in KNY favour to overtake MHA in total series sales

Try Chainsaw Man as well. It's also sticking around and does a lot of things I think you'd like.

I read the first 7 chapters of Chainsawman and I found it pretty interesting and it's only when I read chapter 8 today as a preview for the second volume online I was like "damn this is cool I definitely gotta buy this" though I think the end of the first volume was a bit underwhelming so I'm glad I read chapter 8 since it had all of the punch I was missing from the end of volume 1 and that's what convinced me to invest in it.

The Boichi one-shot was listed under "One Piece Cover Comic Project" in the table of contents. This "One Piece Cover Comic Project" is likely going to continue, so who do you think will contribute to it?
Oda's best friends among mangaka are Kishimoto, Shimabukuro, and Takei. Kishi and Shimabu are likely to do redraws, but Takei has really bad blood with Shueisha, enough to take away the original Shaman King publishing rights to Kodansha. Not sure if Takei would be willing to work with them for this.
Horikoshi seems to have a good relationship with Oda, but I'm not sure if he would want to handle an extra workload with how much MHA has affected his health.
Thoughts?

Ohh, that's a really interesting theory. If we get One Piece "covers" for the next month, that would fill Hinomaru Sumo's empty slot until they're ready to launch the next batch of mangas.

Do one-shots tend to have unique listings in the ToC, or are they usually just listed as "One Shot" or something?

EDIT: Although.. there doesn't seem to be any mention of a One Piece cover in the Issue 35 preview. Since this week's OP cover project got a color page, it might be odd if we got one the following week that didn't?

This is the 2nd one. The first one was Shokugeki no Sanji, which came out July 2018. It seems to be once per year to celebrate One Piece's anniversary.

I think that was a different thing. This project seems to be specifically about iconic OP scenes done by other artists, but Shokugeki no Sanji had its own original story.

Black Clover remains in Jump because it is good and is getting better.

Anime: Yes.
Manga: There wasn't any.

If I remember correctly, there was an announcement of a new Yu-Gi-Oh manga recently but it wasn't gonna adapt VRAINS but it was gonna be an original story. Probably that new series is gonna be related to the new anime but thats my speculation.

Well, V-Jump now had boruto and DBS, it can survive a little without a YGO manga.
I would prefer takahashi doing a new series in Jump, tho.
