LOL did that really happen, that's hilarious. I don't understand why companies and brands seem to let edgy teen interns shit post and argue with people using the company social media accounts lately.
Believe it or not, it actually helps with Marketing.

There are so many times where I’ve seen Wendy’s twitter account roasting someone, and find myself thinking “you know.... I feel like getting Wendy’s for lunch today”, and know of many ppl who do the same.

After Spy x Family I'm more willing to read Jump+ series, before I didn't have much enthusiasm. So, what do you guys recommend? I prefer if it is on Manga Plus, but not necessarily, it is just that my japanese readings backlog is immense.
Jigokuraku is my #1 pick easily from Jump+, its incredible. That said, I feel like Blue Flag is a manga that you would seem to enjoy the most from Jump+ (that's available on Manga Plus) for some reason.

So, out of boredom, I binged TSS.

That was...really weak.

I'll say this, Tanaka and Matsuura have a decent grip on action. The panneling is consistently pretty strong and dynamic, the art is fluid and, on a writing side, Tanaka manages the powers pretty well. Every character has a very distinctive set of techniques, and in terms of how they're used, there's a fair bit of ingenuity (Jin's powers aren't just "shoots electricity" for example). In terms of doing the "battle" part of battle manga, I think the series technically succeeds.

On the other hand, holy shit is the manga uninteresting.

TSS is a barren wasteland when it comes to any actual writing. From the beginning, I question Tanaka's decision to have no ongoing storyline and instead just focus on being a "fun manga", but that could've worked had the scenarios been interesting and well-developed. Only...they're not. Every scenario presented thus far has been really flat and one note, consisting purely of Jin and friends fighting through random barely developed bad guys to accomplish a singular goal of some kind, with no real deeper insight or twists at any point. The only thing Tanaka tries to do is include bits of social commentary...only they never work because he never elaborates on them, they're just...there.

And in terms of characters, they're actually worse. Not a single one of them feels unique or interesting, they're mostly a bunch of very basic tropes with zero depth. Jin is easily the worst, the guy is a complete and utter blank slate in spite of being the protagonist, and the fact that his one motive seems to be the exceptionally corny "protecting mah friends" doesn't help.

Overall, the whole thing just reads to me as a middle-schoolers idea of cool, a lot of flashy colors and cool powers, but nothing in the way of actual substance. It's unimpressive in every way, which makes me kinda shocked at how many people reacted with sadness when I said it was failing on twitter.
Very weak. I'm shocked that Nightow recommended it. I'm not sure if he genuinely recommended it or did it out of kindness since TSS shares similarities to Kekkai Sensen & that the creator is a big fan of Nightow.

Does anyone knows what happened to EasyLove channel?
Wdym? The channel is still up but he hasn't posted in months probably because of how long the videos take to make. I doubt he will make a top WSJ sales video anytime soon unless we start getting a lot of updates & hit series.

That's unfortunate. That series looked really cute, and I had planned on reading it had it ever gotten an English release. I guess 8 volumes is better than nothing, though.

I will take a look in all of them in the following days, let's see what Jump+ has to offer.
Prepare yourselves for my comments, I hope good ones. :P
Jigokuraku and Ao no Flag (Blue Flag).
Summer Time Rendering is another title that I see people saying is good.

Sakura Wars is getting a new TV anime.

Everyone, let's troll the Bleach fans with this news.
Because who cares about a nice announcement unless you can use it to rub salt in someone else's wound, right? Ha ha good one

Anyway, is the tweet before that the announcement of a Sakura Wars set for the Weiss Schwarz TCG? That's pretty cool. Now Sakura Wars characters can fight against Persona 3/4/5 characters, King of Fighters characters, Gurren Lagann characters, and of note to this specific thread, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5 and Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs characters, They've really built up quite the crossover potential over the years.

So this week's One-Shot is not listed to be officially translated... Sigh, what a disappointment.

Wait, really? Even with Tsukuda and Niso Isin being creators users would recognize instantly?

this make me think, how long until we get fan scans groups that do Jump oneshots?

I mean isn't it better than doing the chapters that are already getting free and official translation anyway?

Not listed by Viz or MANGA Plus, at least for now.

It’d be nice but sadly those bigger groups wouldn’t see them as profitable enough.

Too raucy for them, maybe? I mean, with that team there's no way it doesn't have ecchi.

They are 6 oneshot (total 33 pages). And Tsukuda and Niso Isin oneshot its just 5p.
Who're the other five by? I'd be flabbergasted if Komi wasn't among them.

Thank you for the info! The title itself (Jump Romcom Festival!) was already weird, but since the preview only mentioned (I think) Nisio, Tsukuda and Saeki it was confusing. Guess they basically didn't feel like translating all that stuff from less-known authors, maybe?
