Speaking of Food Wars, I wonder what Shun Saeki will do now that the series ended. Whether he'll stay in WSJ, stay with the same writer or find another one to have a go at another series or just go back to doing series with the tosh penname, something I really find unlikely.
I could see him work on an action series with the art he has.

Talking about The of Obscusion, I love that blog. A lot. It's one of my favorites. Everyone here should read its series about the Ages of Jump:

I really hopes he makes a second hit on the magazine. He is my favorite Jump artist this decade alongside Posuka. I think he will go to SQ now, though.

Ya'll remember how bad Fujimaki's art was in the beginning? He has come a long way.

That reminds me of a question... We know that during the Olympics Jump will do some series to capitalize on this. So, are they going to do something to the paralympics? Besides REAL I've never seen a series picturing paralympics sports. Maybe it would be a little too dramatic for Jump something like REAL, but it is possible to make something nice that embodies Jump values of determination, perseverance, etc.
They certainly need the advertisement as well since the event is much less glamorous than the Olympics.
What would you like to see on this regard?

Ooh this is for me!! Jump is doing plenty with the paralympics, from Young Jump’s WHO I AM (in association with the campaign of the same name by WOWOW), to Paralympic Jump, the magazine running to promote the event, with covers by Takehiko Inoue, photoshoots, interviews (some BY Takehiko Inoue), and several comic series, including a TOUGH spin-off, a biographical comic for Kamiji Yui, and Bravo Blind Soccer, a series by Yoichi Takahashi, creator of Captain Tsubasa!

If you want a good idea of what the magazine is like, I’ve covered all three issues out so far on twitter (half self-plug, half actual useful information, so it’s fine)

I’d love to see more things like this done with the paralympics, but Shueisha and WOWOW in particular are pushing the boat out on promoting the paralympics right now

That bar bend for what looks like 170kg... no way it's possible. I think the author forgot some plates here xD
Usually the weight is:
Bar: 20kg
Plates are:
red - 25kg
blue - 20kg
yellow - 15kg
green - 10kg
black - 5kg
Dunno the weight for the smaller increments but I think 1kg is white.

Gotta say Haruichi's art has come a long way too.

Haruichi's art was miles ahead of Fujimaki tho. Haruichi always had a great sense of perception and angles. His/her detailing has improved a lot more, I'd say.

Fujimaki's character art was just horrendous in the start. It's like night and day now.

It must be said every now and then, Innoue truly is a gem in the manga industry.

Speaking of which, was the series ever fully animated? There are 2-3 seasons on Netflix right now but dunno if they adapt all of the manga or not.
The adaptation is great.
the first 2 seasons adapts every chapter for the first 200+ chapters, (skipping some staff here and there)
the 3rd season is just 50 minutes ova covering the last arc

so every chapter from where second season ends and the "3rd season" start have been skipped

Netflix have announced there's 4th season in the work but we don't know what the material is
it could be the skipped chapters or original stuff

Ya'll remember how bad Fujimaki's art was in the beginning? He has come a long way.
changing the characters designs to make them more beautiful and fujobait is what saved the series from axing and made it a huge hit

Don't forget there's also I think 2 chapters post-anime that weren't adapted, plus ~1 chapter worth of post-ending gag strips.

Does Babish read this thread???!!! *spoopy*

can't believe he actually spent all that money just to be faithful to a Saiki Kusou running gag
Can't believe this is one the funniest scenes in the anime. I mean a whole chapter around coffee jelly where Saiki spends around 30$ just for some jelly xD
Watching this you just have to laugh.

I have to say the real thing does look good though.
