152-160 is Volume 18, 161-169 volume 19. I see it ending in 15~ chapters, not less.
How? All the Demon Royals are dead, and Emma was able to make Norman surrender. 7 chapters is more than enough to resolve whatever plot threads are remaining at this point, any more would be overkill.

Also, regarding WNL, there's outside evidence, both in the ways the Volume covers have been unfolding, as well as the OVA bundled with Vol 16 that is overseen by Tsutsui that sounds suspiciously like an epilogue of sorts.

The TOC isn't a 1:1 with the poll results, but series are generally sorted in terms of whats promotion is most active at the time (MHA suddenly bouncing up as we got closer to the anime season and film, for example), with series perceived as having a poor reception getting put around the bottom due to it being a graveyard of sorts.

Regarding why Jump didn't bump Samurai 8 up, the reason is that such a thing actually ran the risk of it making things worse. Imagine this, if your series is being utterly savaged online, what would putting it in a good spot promotion wise say? It would make it look like your actually trying to shill something in spite of the negative press, which would just intensify the hatedom and, as Hayashi said in interview, worsen editorials reputation as a whole.
I agree that it's likely they don't want to put Samurai 8 in the top or the middle when it has a poor reception, because it could give a bad impression (although it's still weird they put it under Yui Kamio).

However, I really doubt it is only the online reception. I remember Black Clover has bad online reception at first, but it still has a good place in the TOC in general.

It is more likely Jump has other sources to know (or predict) the real reception of a product.

Has anyone posted shoseki from the second day yet?

Kimetsu keeps being ridiculous. Volume 1 is one away from top 10 in a super-packed month like this WTF.

Not sure if mentioned but 2.5D Seduction had a good Shoseki Day 2 hold, now at #64 and just down 8 places (less drop than Samurai8)

Someone did few pages ago, I think.

Is there any evidence that was a the case for the JP community? The bad reception seems to have been purely a Western thing.

Samurai 8's sales being behind expectation.
Why, what were the expectations?
However I am glad that BC seems to go back, if he sold less than Jujutsu even without an anime there would be a worry ... I expect him to overtake Spy as well.

My Hero Academia Serie (Manga + novel + spin-off) : 24 000 000
Very well.

Not for it to be outsold by Hinomaru Zumou, thats for sure
Why would it be a bad excuse? Let's talk about a manga that has about five years on the Jump and with an anime behind ...

Do we have any word on Chainsaw Man's total sales? Wouldn't be surprised if the series has already broken 1 million.

Yeah, the top 3 ranking poll that it's readers sends back with every issue. It's always been used as their judge of a series' reception.

At the very least, to sell as well as RxL. Not along the lines of illegal rare.

We don't yet. I think 1M would be more safe of a bet with print number. For sales, I'd say it can reach it on its 6th volume maybe. Still, this is just all random guessing since we don't have enough data yet, I'd say.

It's a method, but Nakano has mentioned that it's not the sole one used to judge popularity. The editorial just considers all available sources of data to judging how X series is being received.

Given how the magazine still has 1.7-1.8million in circulation or close, that'd definitely be their biggest method to judge popularity.
